Ubuntu 25.04 Beta Delivering Some Nice Performance Improvements Over Ubuntu 24.10

While the Radeon RX 7000 series (RDNA3) has quite mature Mesa open-source graphics driver support, there still are some minor performance optimizations to find with Ubuntu 25.04 shipping the Mesa 25.0 RadeonSI OpenGL and RADV Vulkan drivers. Some small gains for the Radeon RX 7900 XTX were seen on top of all the other improvements seen to the RDNA3 Linux graphics over the past two years.
The VKMark Vulkan benchmark ended up seeing a rather significant performance improvement on Ubuntu 25.04.
Vulkan ray-tracing performance is another area still seeing more performance tuning work with the Radeon RADV open-source Vulkan driver.
