Zstd at its highest compression level using the Ubuntu Zstd packages only saw a very slight improvement in performance.
When looking at the performance of the GraphicsMagick imaging program from the Ubuntu archive, there were some slight improvements out of the -O3 packages.The x265 package out of the Ubuntu archive was also slightly faster with the experimental -O3 builds.
