The Inline AI Assist component delivers fast, contextual AI help right within editors, inputs, and other UI elements so users donโt need to leave their workflow. Itโs designed for focused tasks like enhancing wording, producing summaries, clarifying content, translating, correcting grammar, and generating code.
Inline micro-assistance
The component surfaces directly at the userโs point of interactionโnext to a selection or UI controlโusing auto-positioning and collision detection to stay visible. This minimizes context switching and speeds up AI-assisted tasks in editors, forms, grid cells, and code entry fields.
Pop-up mode for extended responses
When a response requires more space, the component can switch to pop-up mode. This larger dialog comfortably displays multiparagraph replies and lengthy code examples.
Customizable commands
Developers can define custom AI commands that use the selected text and editor context to generate intelligent prompts. These configurable commands enable domain-specific tasks like content refinement, code creation, summarization, and translation.
Response actions
