A limitation text is an unofficial term for the text displayed in the bottom-left corner of a card in place of a password, and details special limitations for when that card may be used.
There are currently four types of limitation text used in the TCG and two in the OCG.
This limitation text states that the card is Illegal for any kind of official play, with the exception of certain Yu-Gi-Oh! Day events in Japan. This is the most common limitation text, used by:
All Giant Cards and Case Toppers, except for the "Ritual Sanctuary" gifted to Hajime Syacho for his wedding, also use this text, even though their larger size already makes unusable by default.

This limitation text states that the card is legal in official play, but cannot be put in the Main Deck, Extra Deck, nor Side Deck. It is used on Token cards, counter cards, and the "Command Duel-Use Card".

This limitation text is an alternate translation of the OCG equivalent of "This card cannot be used in a Duel". It is only used on the TCG promotional card "Get Your Game On!".
This limitation text states that the card is considered unofficial, and thus like all unofficial cards (fan-made, counterfeit, etc.), it is illegal. It is only used on the Upper Deck Entertainment promotional "The Seal of Orichalcos", created independently of Konami specifically for the Duel the Master 2005 event.
