Over Rush Rare (γ‚ͺーバーラッシγƒ₯レを Ōbā Rasshu Rea) is a rarity introduced in Over Rush Pack and then included in Deck Mod Packs since Double Star of the Assault!!. It has the same card foil as Shatterfoil Rares and Rush Rares, but the golden name of Ultra Rares.

It is the first kind of Yu-Gi-Oh! card where the artwork comes out of its standard frame. Initially reserved to Monster Cards, it was expanded to include Spell Cards and Trap Cards in later sets. Some cards or alternate artworks come exclusively in Over Rush Rare versions.

In the 5th Anniversary Pack, a new variant of the Over Rush Rare was introduced, the Premium Black Version. It differs from regular Over Rush Rares by recoloring the entire card frame black (including the Attribute orb, the Level, and the ATK/DEF labels), making it blend into the artwork. The Type and effect are changed to white to keep them legible. Currently, all cards in this rarity are Level 9 monsters and only have it for an alternate artwork that does not have a normal version.

Over Rush Pack 4 debuted another version of the Over Rush Rare: the Full Over Rush Rare, which has the artwork cover almost the entire card, including the flavor/effect text box. Its Type and effect are also white for somewhat better visibility.

In Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links, cards using the same type of artwork are referred to as "Over-Rush Style". The game includes such versions of several cards that have not printed as Over Rush Rares in real life, or that were only afterwards.
