Switzerland sends batch of energy equipment to Ukraine under govt-approved package – MFA
Swiss energy equipment was sent to Ukraine by road as part of an aid package worth CHF 32 million ($41.3 million) previously approved by the Swiss government (Federal Council), the Swiss Foreign Ministry said.
"Loading underway: Swiss energy equipment is being loaded onto lorries, bound for Ukraine. The delivery is part of the CHF 32 million aid package approved by the Federal Council to support Ukraine's energy supply," the ministry said on the X social network.
As reported, on February 11, the Swiss federal government announced the allocation of CHF 32 million to Ukraine for urgent assistance in the form of generators and power modules and that this assistance will be sent to Ukraine in the coming weeks.
Earlier, on January 21, Ukraine and Switzerland signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Davos on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, which launches a new major economic resilience program "Competitiveness for Recovery Ukraine 2026-2030."
