URCS assists victims after Russian drone attack in Kharkiv
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) assisted people affected by a Russian drone attack in Kharkiv.
"The Ukrainian Red Cross Emergency Response Unit in Kharkiv region, together with other emergency services, conducted door-to-door checks of damaged buildings to identify victims, provided first aid and transferred the injured to ambulance crews," the URCS said on Facebook on Wednesday.
Volunteers also provided first psychological aid to residents affected by the attack.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, two people were killed and seven others were injured as a result of the drone strike in Shevchenkivsky district of Kharkiv. The attack caused the collapse of roof structures in a one-story building and triggered a fire.
Emergency rescue operations have been completed.
