URCS continues assisting victims of Russian airstrikes in Zaporizhia
Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) are continuing to provide aid to those affected by Russian army airstrikes in Zaporizhia.
"The rapid response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Zaporizhia region worked on Wednesday at the site of another strike on Zaporizhia, alongside all of the city's specialized services," the URCS reported on Facebook on Thursday.
Volunteers conducted a sweep of the area to locate victims, providing first aid to four individuals. Additionally, 12 people received psychological support. The URCS also announced plans to distribute humanitarian aid to the victims on Thursday.
As previously reported, on March 11, Russian forces launched at least five strikes using guided aerial bombs (KABs) on Zaporizhia. The attack injured 13 people and resulted in the destruction or damage of private and apartment buildings. Local authorities confirmed that the blast wave damaged at least six multi-story buildings and nine private houses, shattering windows and damaging facades.
