Ukrainian Red Cross helping victims of Russian combined air strike in Zaporizhia region

The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) provided assistance to those affected by the Russian combined missile and drone strike on Zaporizhia region on Tuesday night.

"The URCS rapid response team in Zaporizhia region, together with other rescue services, worked at the site to eliminate the consequences of the attack in the city," the URCS reported on Facebook on Tuesday.

Volunteers canvassed the area to identify the wounded, provided first aid to four victims, and provided first aid to people experiencing acute stress reactions.

As reported, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Zaporizhia on Tuesday night. The enemy launched six attack drones and five ballistic missiles at the city. One person was killed and nine were wounded. Residential areas and facilities were targeted. Twenty multi-story buildings, six private homes, a store, non-residential buildings, and businesses were damaged.

Rescue operations have been completed. Restoration work is ongoing.
