Ukraine's General Staff said it had introduced a simplified mechanism for transferring service members between military units, including through the electronic submission of a letter of recommendation.

"The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is taking systematic steps to simplify the procedures for transferring service members between military units. Recently, a simplified mechanism was introduced for sending a letter of recommendation for a service member through electronic document management systems," the General Staff said on Telegram on Wednesday.

According to the statement, this mechanism ensures that the recommendation letter will be reviewed by the commander of the military unit within the shortest possible time.

"Thanks to this, the service member will no longer need to submit the recommendation letter to lower-level commanders (section, platoon, company, battalion), which reduces subjective factors in decision-making and the number of approvals required from heads of structural subdivisions," the General Staff said.
