On March 30, 2025, four days before the release of A Minecraft Movie, a red carpet event was hosted for its world premiere, officially referred to as "the green carpet" at Leicester Square, London.[4]
Unlike traditional red carpet events, real grass carpet carpeted the floor of Leicester Square. It featured a outdoor aesthetic with greenery trailing the sides of the barricades including many bushes and flowers dotted around.
Two step and repeat banners featured at the event: one being more traditional and the other being a more decorative and technologically advanced environment.
The step and repeat banner had featured an Overworld backdrop with a bee and the movie's logo at the center top. Around where the person stands are life-sized models of the pink sheep and creeper from the movie which were surrounded by grass blocks and cubic plants.
A two-hour sponsored Twitch livestream co-hosted by Jordan Maron and Thomas Simons ran parallel to the green carpet, showcasing the event and interactions with fans.
The first night survival shelter is a life-sized replica of a typical build to survive the night. This is where the majority of the stream is spent with the hosts.
