A Oak Log is a variant of log whiche is a naturally occurring block found in trees, primarily used as a building block and to create planks, a versatile crafting ingredient.

Oak log can be broken by hand, but using an axe is faster. Oak log drop themselves when broken with any tool.

Oak log generate naturally as part of trees, although fallen trees. Oak logs generate as part of villages, Swamp huts, Mineshafts, Shipwrecks‌^{[Java Edition only]}, Trial chambers

In Bedrock Edition, wandering traders have a chance of 8.5% (increased by 1% per level of Looting) to drop 8 available oak logs when killed while showing the item as trade offer, if the player holds an emerald.

Oak log can be used as a fuel in furnaces, smelting 1.5 items per block.

Stripping

Using an axe on a Oak log strips it, turning it into a stripped oak log , which act the same as regular oak log.
