hey, I was wondering, who named the enchanted golden apple "the notch apple"? I looked but couldn't find the awnser.--72.187.144.112 15:16, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
- Somebody at Mojang did when they added an achievement for eating it; though I think the name existed before, in which case I have no idea who first called it that. FVbico (talk) 15:26, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
- I think that notch(minecraft dev) was the guy that created it β Unsigned comment added by 24.47.48.37 (talk) at 02:06, 17 January 2023 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~
- That is just speculation and has nothing to back it up. BDJP (t|c) 02:14, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
The two tables in the Natural Generation section appear identical. Is there a reason they are separate tables? SirDaddicus (talk) 18:24, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
- Template:LootChestItem always displays Java and Bedrock tables of data. Sometimes they are different, but often they are the same. As there has been an effort underway to make Java and Bedrock be more equal internally, the Lua module that fills in the template will eventually have to be fixed to display one table, because eventually they may be the same almost always. - OK, thank you! SirDaddicus (talk) 14:12, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
Enchanted golden apples can be farmed by finding an ancient city with a chest that contains two enchanted golden apples and resetting the chunk with the chest. 188.27.202.150 15:32, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
- This thing doesn't belong to the Admin Noticeboard. Please put it in . Thank you. π Image

- Why would we encourage users to reset chunks? That's not something you can do in unmodified gameplay. - BD (talk) 16:17, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
- That requires a third party software (eg. MCASelector). π Image

Is it okay to change it to renewable now that trial chambers exist? 195.181.162.180 06:38, 6 July 2024 (UTC)

- That name was never official, so thereβs no reason it would be mentioned on this page. - Harristic / Talk π Image

- It's a very popular name, along with "God apple", so there's no reason it shouldn't be mentioned on this page. It's trivia. This wiki has a lot of trivia sections. Mdash (talk) 04:30, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
- Just because its popular doesn't make it offical

- Even this wiki acknowledges that it is official on another page: "however, a term for those is also Notch Apple (official until 1.12, as seen on achievements)" Mdash (talk) 04:39, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
- I just looked at the page, and the word "Notch" isn't used anywhere.

- Because that page doesn't have a good history of achievements. Overpowered used to be "Build/eat a Notch Apple" (Java Edition 15w45a) Mdash (talk) 04:50, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
- If it used to say that, then that means someone correctly realized it was unofficial amd removed the term. Saying the wiki acknowledges the term, and then linking to an article that doesnt use it isnt a good example

- Historical names are a reason for making redirect pages. I'm pretty sure trivia is supposed to avoid history though. But "notch apple" is a common term in the community. And community terms are reasonable for trivia. In this case though, the trivia item would be Enchanted golden apples are sometimes called "notch apples" or "god apples". Which is a pretty bad trivia item if you ask me.
- So, I agree. There is no reason to mention the name. Not even in trivia. -- Simanelix (T|C) 03:27, 27 June 2025 (UTC)

- The page you're referring to is a tutorial article which are under less strict standards. It is true that the achievement once referred to the item as "Notch Apple", and this should be acknowledged in the history section and the history section only. - Neither of the articles they linked are tutorial pages, unless I missed one

- Noted this name in the history section. It was official as it was used in an in-game achievement description.--Capopanzo (talk | contribs) 12:34, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
