If you can craft Gold Nuggets from Gold Ingots, would it not make sense that you can make Iron Nuggets, too?
Just something that got me thinking.

I notice that the Iron Trapdoor is on the As a Crafting Ingredient list, even though it's not officially added to a release yet. Should it remain or should it be taken down until such time as 1.8 comes out? - Exhelah Β· π Image

This article by Duncan Geere (and others of his) contains inaccuracies. It is currently quoted at the top of the Iron Ingot page, citing a date of 29 January 2010 for when Iron Ingot was first added to Java Edition. That date is not correct. Current evidence supports that this item had actually been added in the 28 January 2010 22:31 UTC Indev release. This Iron Ingot page should be updated in some way to no longer show a "date added" of 29 January 2010 (specifically in the quote at the top of the page).

This page lists arrows as being craftable with an iron ingot in place of flint, which according to the arrow page has not been the case since Alpha, 9 years ago. - Sniccups 16:32, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
Both the stonecutter and the loadstone are listed twice in the crafting recepies section Ugglis2 (talk) 17:04, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
The Crafting ingredient section is an absolute mess. The arrow recipe shows up with iron instead of flint, which according to this very talk page should have been fixed in 2020. Then a bunch of recipes show up twice, including but not limited to all the iron tools and armor. For heaven's sake, the flint and steel crafting recipe alone shows up 5 times.
I'd fix it but I don't know where all the templates originate from and I just created this account; a bit of a heavy task for my first edit. I checked the What links here page but there were too many links for me to sort through. Is there a way to see the specific entries of {{crafting}} with ignoreusage set to false that {{Crafting usage}} uses? If there isn't they should really add a function to do so, or maybe change how {{Crafting usage}} works entirely. Only reason I'm not completely lost is my time on Wikipedia.

nocat parameter instead of proper ignoreusage. Before a recent update to {{Crafting}}, both were basically identical, but nocatβs behavior was a bit of a holdover from the days {{Crafting usage}} used hidden categories in conjunction with DPL (it uses SMW right now). β BabylonAS 15:06, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
