I don't understand why the page has been moved. If it is because "we don't want it to be 1.21.11", like I saw earlier, then I don't agree with you. We used 1.21.9 long before confirmation and nobody had any problems with it.
The main page also uses 1.21.11 instead of "Java Edition Mounts of Mayhem". Please inquire me about this decision. -- Nomis12 (T|C) NL Admin 16:19, 9 October 2025 (UTC)
- I just saw an explanation of an official Mojang Studios employee (https://x.com/CornerHardMC/status/1973779472462856704), and that's why people think it will finally be 1.22, but he's not implying the next update will be 1.22. He said, and I quote, "I agree, we'll be changing to new versions at some point. Stay tuned 🙂". I want to put the emphasis on "at some point" and on "Stay tuned". -- Nomis12 (T|C) NL Admin 16:23, 9 October 2025 (UTC)
- I'm iffy on keeping the page at this title. They've said they're changing the version number, so this could be 1.21.20 or something in a new version format. Less comfortable relying on past behavior here, but I've got nothing actionable with regards to moving the page. Nixinova T ⁄ C 03:25, 15 October 2025 (UTC)
- They haven't said when they're changing the version number though. It may be after Mounts of Mayhem. == Rout | Talk 05:59, 15 October 2025 (UTC)
- Slicedlime's playlist says "1.21.11" - keeping in mind the previous consensus of him not being an official source for naming - but it means there's at least a Mojang developer using the same assumptions as us. Nixinova T ⁄ C 23:20, 6 November 2025 (UTC)
People keep moving the spawn eggs in the added items list to order them logically or alphabetically. It has been changed many times. Please come to an agreement. -- Nomis12 (T|C) NL Admin 08:20, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
Let's start a discussion whether this should be moved to Mounts of Mayhem Java Edition. 👁 Image

Oppose We already discussed this before and agreed to stick with our usual naming, so the next update will be referred to as 1.21.11, unless future information contradicts that.
- You can check this archived thread on the Admin Noticeboard and the earlier conversation on this talk page for context. -- Nomis12 (T|C) NL Admin 08:41, 2 November 2025 (UTC)

Strong oppose per Nomis12 and BDJP's move summary. == Rout | Talk 09:03, 2 November 2025 (UTC)
I would rather call it "Upcoming Java Edition release" (or the name suggested here) than speculating the unconfirmed version numbers (which undermines MCW:RULES#4). We also haven't reached any agreement yet, there are very few people participating in these discussions to even reach a proper consensus. Outrowed (talk) 10:45, 2 November 2025 (UTC)

- I want to add since there's Slicedlime's playlist backing up the "1.21.11" version (mentioned by Nixinova), I would say keep it as is for now. Outrowed (talk) 00:32, 7 November 2025 (UTC)
- Info from the snapshot has already been added to the article. Rampage455 (talk) 01:19, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
There is a note at the beginning of the article that says "would have been 25.4 using new naming rules" or something like that. Should we add that to all the game drop pages? CrockCraftMC (talk) 17:10, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
- No and the note should be removed, the new naming scheme isn't getting applied to current and past releases.--Capopanzo (talk | contribs) 17:12, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
