At the bottom of c0.30_01c.json it says:
"minimumLauncherVersion": 7, "releaseTime": "2009-12-21T22:00:00+00:00", "time": "2016-02-02T15:37:47+00:00", "type": "old_alpha"
"releaseTime: 2009-12-21"... so its saying it was released on December 21. So where does the October 30/November 10 come from? – Nixinova 👁 Image

Also the jar file for 0.30 survival says December 21. What is correct? – Nixinova 👁 Image

the glitch was that worlds wont save :( --173.180.201.172 22:27, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
I'm wondering if you can track down the JSON file for the original 2009 version of 0.30 (aka 0.30-2) I'm currently stuffing my launcher with every version of Minecraft that has been found, and I've deliberately ignored versions without JSON files or broken JSON file links.

The .json file for this version is missing. Do I just get the .json from the creative version?
I think I have a prerelease. I got this from Minecraft: The Hidden Versions (i know, that one is subject to fakes) , but it has a META-INF from 2009-10-10. It's labeled as 0.30 in game, but the .jar and .json are labled as just 'survivaltest'. Chancemanroxtv (talk) 02:13, 31 March 2020 (UTC)Chancemanroxtv
You know about 0.30_01c, which literally means 0.30_01 Creative. After figuring this out, i'm wondering if 0.30 Survival, just like 0.30 Creative, got renewed. I think that 0.30_01s (yes that could be the name) probably existed. There's no evidence for this version just yet, it's only a hypothesis. You can discuss it below. 2.27.162.24 20:02, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
Merge reasoning added by Tolerabledruid6:
Having seperate pages for the creative and survival variants is like having seperate pages for different reuploads or renews, it just doesn't make sense. The creative and survival variants are completely identical in code, apart from one single line in the main class, that tells the game to launch in a certain gamemode. You can even change this line yourself to turn your 0.30 Creative copy into a 0.30 Survival copy and vice versa. Seperate pages means that there is basically two pages that say the exact same same thing apart from maybe gamemode related features, it means duplicate information and it's just unnecessary. We also don't do this for 0.28 or 0.29 either, they have single pages that describe features in both gamemodes (granted, the survival variant of those versions were not released: you have to manually change the main class line to play survival in those versions).

the server says it's for this version but how are you supposed to use multiplayer? Biomseed (talk) 02:22, 11 January 2021 (UTC)
I'm just curious. Also what file are you talking about? Biomseed (talk) 18:05, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
To split Creative and Survival 999BetasLOL (talk) 14:33, 4 September 2025 (UTC)
{{Example}}", not "{Example}", because you recently added it like the wrong one 2604:2DC0:200:1365:0:0:0:0 15:16, 4 September 2025 (UTC)I'm not necessarily asking for this page to be split, but I think it makes the most sense to consider 0.30 (Survival) to be a part of Survival Test. You can see in the gallery on the version page that the screenshot for it being played on the webpage shows that it's using the Survival Test URL. The only reason why both builds of 0.30 are labeled as "Late Classic" is because it comes from the previously used "Late Classic Creative", but the current label doesn't make much sense in how strictly the versions for it are defined, as for example, 0.27 can be subjectively labeled as "Late Classic" since it indeed came fairly late in the Classic phase of development. To me, it seems completely arbitrary to not consider the survival build of 0.30 a part of Survival Test for the only reason being that it doesn't literally have "SURVIVAL TEST" in the version title, which probably has to do with the fact that the creative & survival builds are virtually identical in code aside from a single boolean switch. Many people in the past have also referred to the version as "Survival Test 0.30", and it plays basically the same as previous Survival Test Versions, aside from a few features that are new or changed from the previous version. In my opinion, what should be done is renaming "Late Classic" back to "Late Classic Creative", and having survival 0.30 be the last version of Survival Test and creative 0.30 the last version of "Late Classic Creative". The Survival Test page should have "0.30 (Survival)" as the last version which simply redirects to the 0.30 page, as well as for the page currently called "Late Classic" having it labeled as "0.30 (Creative)" but redirecting to the 0.30 page. I believe this can be done without a page split. Canthonic (talk) 05:33, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
