A note for minecarts is that they can be used without player interaction once started –Preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.37.26.222 (talk) at 16:33, 8 January 2020 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~
Is there a way to deactivate a portal in the nether right after entering it? Just going through a portal can transport a player 127 meters in the nether or ~1000 tiles in the meters, but to make that reversible (or chain-able) the portal used would need to be deactivated and another one would need to be activated. It's always possible to use this as one-way teleport, of course, with alternative ways to get back. --98.150.156.120 12:13, 14 January 2020 (UTC)
Trident with riptide enchantment may also provide a high speed when used. For riptide III it's about 2.92 to 3 blocks per tick (recorded by scoreboard). Meanwhile, I found that trident with riptide enchantment.level.2147483647 by using commands could offer a extremely high speed.(More than 1.6 billion blocks per tick, recorded by scoreboard before the game crashed.) I'm not sure that could it be even faster?

Should the table be updated to include this as a condition? It seems faster than running on other surfaces.
I was watching one of Etho's latest videos. It was the one where he showed us his secret Dolphin's Grace Superhighway to get to the End Portal and the Gaming District. He said that Dolphin's Grace plus Depth Strider 3 was about 50 blocks per second and that combining it with Soul Speed 3 was 75 blocks per second. The wiki page says nothing about Dolphin's Grace + Depth Strider + Soul Speed, but it says that Dolphin's Grace and Depth Strider III is 80 blocks per second. Could someone fact check these numbers? Thanks! Yreyot25 (talk) 18:33, 20 September 2020 (UTC)
Hi, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped with this page because it is very helpful for using vectors with Minecraft Bukkit plugins. By the way for anyone who is making plugins, I believe the velocity x and z speed are 4.317 m/s and the y speed is 2.0 m/s.
On this page it says the pig's speed whipe saddled and using a carrot on a stick is 4.19 blocks per second. But on Pig it says 5.2 blocks per second. Which is it? Why do both pages have conflicting information?

Edit: Also according to multiple speed testing setups pigs are traveling at a little over 2 blocks per second(in bedrock at least, I didnt test in java)

Boats go 8 blocks a second!? Am I doing my math wrong, or would that mean boats cover 320 blocks in 40 seconds? Or are boats slower? Nerdyguy2000 (talk) 22:17, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
I just see that horses have the 14.23 average m/s where the mule and donkey have 7.38 average m/s in the board (which is the speed of a spawned mule).
Because we can breed them to raise their respective speed at the maximum 14.23 we could all put them in the same category like this : Horse/Donkey/Mule, condition: max stats. RiriStudio (talk) 15:30, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
Camels do not appear to be mentioned in this article at all. They should be added given they are a mob that the player can ride. 2607:FB91:181A:875D:99F:C5A:5AF9:C00C 05:17, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
In-depth information on how entities move (a cubicmetre video said that non-projectiles move in a "corkscrew" fashion, and projectiles move in a straight line)
Clarification on what "1/4 slope track/rapids" means, also the speed of water trams should be included.
what about using riptide in tandem with a water bucket or in an ocean?
