Template talk:License Mojang

All images in Category:Mojang images should have the {{License Mojang}} template, and vice versa. It would be more efficent and convenient for users to just add the category to the template itself. It's already there:

The template automatically adds categories to files, but there is no way to disable the specific categorizations. I suggest adding a |category= parameter for overriding the default category. Also, categories are added regardless of namespace, but they should only be added for file pages.

I suggest replacing everything inside the includeonly tags with this:

{{file other| {{#if: {{{category|}}} | [[Category:{{{category}}}]] | {{ #switch: {{ #explode: {{ lc: {{PAGENAME}} }} | . | -1 }} | bmp | gif | jpg | jpeg | png | svg | webp = [[Category:Mojang images]] | ogg = [[Category:Soundtrack]] | #default = [[Category:Mojang files]] }} }} }}

I fixed a small thing in the code you provided which will help anyone blindly copying your code. I also want to suggest using this instead: {{file other | [[Category:{{{category | {{ #switch . . . svg | webp= Mojang images | ogg = Audio files | #default = Mojang files }} }}} ]] }} (the part replaced by the ellipsis is unchanged from your code). Additionally, for the sake of consistency, Category:Mojang audio might be better. SLScool 21:23, 31 May 2022 (UTC)

 Done though slightly differently than requested – I added a nocat parameter as that allows more flexibility for adding multiple categories (via normal category links elsewhere on the page) or disabling them altogether, and did the namespace check directly instead of using {{File other}}. –Sonicwave ^talk 06:02, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
