About your reuploads of biome screenshots

Hello Amirhosseinta! I see that you've been reuploading a lot of biome screenshots recently, and that most of them have been reverted due to various reasons. I really appreciate the effort you made to improve the biome screenshots, so I want to share some basic guidelines to make better screenshots:
- Biome screenshots should never be isometric. This has been discussed twice at the forum, and it is even included in the style guide now.
- About camera positioning: biome screenshots should be taken from a natural view, at a height between just above the ground and ~30 blocks above the ground. The view should be focussed on the biome and show a small part of the sky. Forested biomes usually benefit from a ground view to show the inside, such as File:Pale Garden.png. Flatland biomes benefit from a higher view to showcase a larger part of the biome, such as File:Snowy Plains.png, and mountainuous biomes benefit from a side view of the mountains or hills, such as File:Jagged Peaks.png, File:Grove.png.
- Versions and editions: biome screenshots should always be from the latest stable release, so no development versions, and no experiments. Things like environmental fog and new cloud patterns are still upcoming, and these articles describe Minecraft in its current version, no upcoming features. It does not matter if a screenshot is taken in Java or Bedrock, there is no rule that says every screenshot should be taken in a specific edition. Some biomes may benefit from a screenshot in a specific version, such as the higher graphics in distance for Java, unique water colors for Bedrock, or when a higher render distance is needed. Try to avoid showcasing edition-exclusive features such as dying trees or frozen ocean temperature differences, but there is no need to reupload a screenshot only because it contains a version-exclusive feature, if the screenshot looks good, it doesn't matter.
- Graphics: biome screenshots should always use the best possible graphics: Fabulous! on Java and Fancy on Bedrock. Don't use Vibrant Visuals, those screenshots have their own place in the biome infoboxes. Furthermore, specific graphics settings should stay in the default state, and enable fancy clouds.
- Render distance: For Java Edition, a render distance of 24-32 chunks is recommended, to prevent the screenshot from looking too much "zoomed in" or the view distance looking unnaturally short (example of a screenshot with too low render distance). A higher render distance is usually better, but avoid "chunk holes" on the screenshot when your device can't handle the view distance. For Bedrock Edition, a render distance of 30-60 chunks is usually recommended, but there are biomes that benefit from a maximum render distance (96) (example). Keep in mind that this often creates messy images with way more other biomes and information than just a basic image of the biome. An extreme render distance is usually better for flatland biomes that cover large areas, such as swamps, plains, and deserts.
- Other specifications: All options should be kept on default, and no manual changes should be made to the area in the biome screenshot, no custom buildings, mobs, or blocks. Biome screenshots should be taken with the HUD hidden, either in Spectator mode or by pressing , and time should be set to "Noon" with clear weather and no status effects. The world should be created as a default world: no single biome, flat world, large biomes, or amplified.
- Biome screenshots are intended to give a basic overview of the biome, with all of its features. Try to showcase all regular features of a biome, such as the ground blocks, trees, flowers and ground cover. Structures also fit in a biome screenshot, but don't try to get all structures on one screenshot: that is odd generation and shoud be in the gallery instead. It is recommended to show some mobs in a screenshot, but don't spawn them yourself and try to keep it simple. Also show terrain aspects that are characteristic for that biome. For example, you recently reuploaded File:Badlands.png with a screenshot that doesn't show any plateaus, while these plateaus are one of the main features of this biome.
Finally, there is one more thing I want to let you know about these screenshots. Most biome screenshots are currently from a high quality and don't need reuploading. Ideally, biome screenshots should only be reuploaded when the biome noticably changes in an update, such as Caves & Cliffs and Spring to Life, or the quality is really low, but the quality of all screenshots is good enough now.
I'm sorry if this sounds too much for you or if I might come over a bit intimidating, I just want to let you know how to make good biome screenshots that won't be reverted. Have a nice day! MinecraftBedrockPlayer7 (talk) (contribs) π Image

I just can't put my finger on it. It was like Annihosienta or something. --β― β―Simanelixβ― β―(T|C) 03:42, 28 January 2026 (UTC)

- I know I was not thinking of Arimelonie nor Anachronist. I believe the username I was thinking of is not even on this wiki. Like, on Reddit or Discord or something. But it has very different spelling than your username. Just a similar vibe. Perhaps I am remembering something from a dream! Sometimes that is the cause of my dejavu. --β― β―Simanelixβ― β―(T|C) 18:54, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
MCW:SIGN says that your signature should have your username or an obvious variation of it. I don't think "At" is obviously related to "Amirhosseinta", like it's just two letters. ββMinecraftExp123(talk|contribs) 10:19, 27 February 2026 (UTC)

- The image currently is 20 pixels wide. To make it 20 pixels tall, you need to change the
20px to x20px. ββMinecraftExp123(talk|contribs) 22:55, 26 May 2026 (UTC)
- Changed it again, how about now? , i just thought that my sig wasnβt the best place for steve to be(: π Image

- Because your reason was absolutely wrong,
- The additions section is a common section across all update pages
- and it must mention all of the additions of the update/drop mentioned,
- We do write a summary of these sections(additions and changes) there, but if anyone wants to take a closer look at what has been added, they can use that section;
- This is the mechanism also used for the previous drops pages like chaos cubed and tiny takeover. π Image

Letting you know that there are some broken command block particles and redstone particles left in File:Gossping.png. It'd be much appreciated if you could retake that screenshot without these! - Zamburger (talk) 21:50, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
