Hi! You mentioned me on the admin noticeboard (https://minecraft.wiki/w/Minecraft_Wiki:Admin_noticeboard?diff=3328541&oldid=prev) because my username could imply I'm a bot.

I am in fact not a bot lmao and I don't want to get mistaken for one, is there any way to change it so I can avoid further confusion?

I did some googling, but found nothing. Also I have like near 0 knowledge of how wikis work lol.

You do seem to have an idea about what you're doing tho, so I thought I'd just ask you directly. :)

I saw this on Recent Changes - You really don't have to worry about anything. But, if you really want to, you can request an account rename at Special:Contact. However, I don't think your username will be an issue. Thank you for contributing to the Minecraft Wiki! 👁 Image

That specific accusation is just a misinterpretation of the wiki policies. @Monsbot If anything, don't change your username at all, because this report has failed to prove that it is in fact harmful. – RedX 01:43, 3 February 2026 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) As GameCatastrophe has said above, you can use Special:Contact if you really want to, but they are also correct to say that you dont need to worry. While yes, your username is technically unaccessible per our username policy, you are also safely grandfathered in due to your account existing under this name prior to the creation of said policy. Since you have also stated on your userpage that you are not a bot, there are no requirements to change your username at all, so please do not feel pressured to do so. 👁 Image
