The Uzelginsk deposit located in the southern Urals, and is classified as a weakly altered massive sulfide deposit of the Uralian type. Main metals are Zn-Cu-Ag-Au-Te. Being one of eight (largest) sulfide deposits located in the Urals. The ore-bearing structure is weakly deformed and is considered to be a typical example for the Uralian type of massive sulfide deposits. The dominant mineral of the ore is Pyrite, while Chalcopyrite and Sphalerite trail behind. Some zones have a different dominant mineral.

Description: Found in the Uzelginsk deposit (southern Urals). Classification of the deposit is a weakly altered classical massive sulfide deposit ofthe Uralian type. During the latest stage of the hydrothermal process in the deposit, the following native metals were formed: gold, silver, tellurium and rhenium. The paragenesis of the deposit ore shows that these metals remain mostly dispersed in sulfide minerals. Native rhenium at this deposit is found in the 5ยตm-10ยตm inclusions in sulfide minerals.
