AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370: 100+ Benchmarks Validate Zen 5's Captivating Power Efficiency & Performance
Across dozens of different workloads the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 was a very interesting Zen 5/5C processor both in raw performance and especially for performance-per-Watt. The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 was delivering great uplift over Zen 4 and extending the leads over Intel Meteor Lake further. Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 in launching the Ryzen AI 300 series before the Ryzen 9000 series makes me all the more eager for the next-gen desktop CPUs coming out in August.
There were some areas though where there may be Zen 5 vs. Zen 5C scheduling issues or something else going on.... Such as the web browser tests on Linux showing the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 being a setback or just similar to Zen 4. I am exploring those areas more around the heterogeneous core topology patches and seeing what else may still need to be optimized for Linux with regards to Zen 5/5C processors. Stay tuned for many follow-up tests to come, given that this is just what I've been able to tackle in the few days since receiving the ASUS Zenbook S16 from AMD.
