The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 as a reminder contains four Zen 5 cores and eight Zen 5C cores for a total of 12 cores / 24 threads. The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 can clock up to 5.1GHz while maintains a 2GHz base clock. There is 24MB of L3 cache and a 12MB L2 cache. The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 has a 28 Watt TDP but a configurable TDP from 15 to 54 Watts.

The laptops tested for this comparison included:

- Intel Core i7 1185G7 "Tigerlake" - Dell XPS 13 9310
- Intel Core i7 1280P "Alder Lake" - MSI Prestige 14Evo
- Intel Core Ultra 7 155H "Meteor Lake" - Acer Swift Go 13
- AMD Ryzen 7 4700U "Zen 2" - Lenovo IdeaPad 5
- AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX "Zen 3" - ASUS ROG Strix G513QY
- AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5850U "Zen 3" - Lenovo ThinkPad T14s G2a
- AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U "Zen 3+" - Lenovo ThinkPad X13 G3
- AMD Ryzen 7 7840U "Zen 4" - Framework 13
- AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS "Zen 4" - Framework 16
- AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 "Zen 5" - ASUS Zenbook S16

The selection of laptops/CPUs tested was limited by the models I had available on-hand for this fresh (re)benchmarking of all hardware. Each laptop was recently (re)tested using Ubuntu 24.04 LTS while upgrading to the Linux 6.10 kernel and Mesa Git. From there my very diverse range of Linux benchmarks were run while looking at the performance and CPU package power efficiency. All laptops were running in their default "balanced" power modes / platform profiles.
