AMD Ryzen AI Max 390 Performance - 12-Core Strix Halo
The CPU render performance out of the Ryzen AI Max PRO 390 was very powerful and right behind the Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 395.
The 16-core Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 395 was delivering better performance-per-Watt than the 12-core Ryzen AI Max PRO 390 with both of these SoCs having the same default TDP.
The low-power platform profile with the Ryzen AI Max PRO 390 + HP ZBook Ultra G1a was still delivering good performance while delivering better power efficiency.
With 12 cores / 24 threads, the Ryzen AI Max PRO 390 offered great laptop / mobile workstation performance while the Strix Point SoCs were holding their ground well for power efficiency.
With the higher core counts plus having AVX-512 support, Strix Halo was performing well ahead of the Intel Lunar Lake competition.
