The AMD Ryzen AI Max SoCs with up to 16 cores / 32 threads thanks to SMT, AVX-512, and LPDDR5x-8000, Strix Halo delivers very strong CPU performance in addition to its iGPU capabilities. It was fascinating to run all these benchmarks going back a few generations for showing the progression of AMD laptop Linux performance as well as the Intel Core competition.

Strix Halo is a leap ahead of Strix Point for raw performance while tending to be comparable in terms of performance-per-Watt.

AMD Ryzen AI Max can be very capable for those needing to run any technical/scientific computing workloads from a mobile workstation with providing big time savings compared to other laptop SoCs.
