Before getting to the fresh benchmarks of the Qualcomm X Elite compared to AMD Ryzen and Intel Core laptops on Ubuntu 25.04, first up are some comparison numbers of the same Acer Swift 14 AI with my original numbers form May compared to the using the newest Ubuntu X1E Concept ISO as well as the newest system firmware for the device.

Notable with the Ubuntu Linux upgrades over the past few months for the Ubuntu X1E Concept ISOs is moving from Linux 6.14 to Linux 6.17 atop the Ubuntu 25.04 base. There is also a newer Mesa point release and other adjustments made.

In some of the Firefox browser benchmarks there was no real change in performance when using the same Firefox release while in some of the benchmarks were rather nice gains with the newest Ubuntu X1E Concept ISO as well as running the newest system firmware for the Acer Swift 14 AI.

Some nice incremental improvements were seen with this newer Ubuntu X1E Concept ISO and firmware compared to where we were not even five months ago.

Especially for multi-core code compilation workloads, the newest software on the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite laptop was a big improvement compared to the May data.

In multi-threaded video encoding workloads were also significant performance improvements with this newest testing from the same exact laptop.
