Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite Linux Performance Improving But Short Of AMD Ryzen & Intel Core Ultra

Even with the newes Ubuntu X1E Concept ISO and newest Acer system firmware, the X Elite performance in popular web browser benchmarks came out in the middle of the pact against AMD Ryzen and Intel Core hardware... With Speedometer 3 the Snapdragon X Elite laptop was performing similar to Zen 4 Ryzen 7840 series hardware: behind the latest AMD Ryzen AI 300 series as well as Intel Core Ultra Meteor Lake and Lunar Lake laptops.

With the Jetstream 2.0 web browser benchmark the X Elite performance came out aligned with an Intel Core i5 1334U or even an old Intel Tiger Lake Core i7 1185G7 Dell XPS 13 laptop.

In some cases like WebAssembly the X Elite SoC could perform near the front of the race, but that was just in select best case scenarios. For a majority of the browser benchmarks the X Elite was a ways from competing with the latest Intel Core Ultra and AMD Ryzen SoCs. Again too bad though not being able to compare the performance-per-Watt due to no power sensor data exposed under Linux for the Qualcomm SoC.
