For H.265 video encoding with the open-source Kvazaar application, Ubuntu 26.04 LTS was much faster than Windows 11 as we have also seen on other systems in the past.
For the OpenAPV encoder too the best performance was on Ubuntu 26.04 LTS for this HP Z6 G5 A workstation.
Linux is great for heavy video encoding/transcoding workloads and remains that way with the newly released Ubuntu 26.04 LTS.
