Both are shounen anime's that capture by:
* how creatively main characters can use their powers to get out of a tough situation.
* how cute female characters look.

Also, both main male characters have the same design - whiny and wimpy school student with a messy moptop hair. (Even their voice in Japanese dub sounds identical).

Actually, a very good shonen! I don't generally like super boys and super girls throwing down in a tournament style (used to like this but not anymore), but BnHA managed to get me hooked to its plot, characters and I genuinely want to see how Deku will become the greatest hero of them all. Like I REALLY want to know!

Essentially boy meets strongest hero ever and takes up the mantle to become him but in secret whilst navigating the teenage life along with a dose of super villains trying to destroy their lives. Defo watch!

Expectations were high for this one and it didn’t disappoint. It was a very entertaining watch with very good animation. The battle scenes were very entertaining and the last arc kept me hooked and interested on the plot and the fight scenes. All in all it was just plain old fun. I look forward to the next season.

I haven't seen much shounen anime. I watched bits and pieces of Naruto and Dragon Ball Z so this is my first shounen anime I actually sat through and watched the whole way through. I was a little leery of it since I heard it's a superhero anime that's based on Marvels and DC Comics and I was never much of a fan of their movies but I was surprised that I actually found this anime quite enjoyable. That made me think that maybe I don't like watching superhero films because the theater makes them loud and all that and I am sensitive to loud sounds, I thought it was also the speed of them. It's weird though because I like action stuff.

I can't compare this to other shounen anime since I haven't seen much of them yet. The story is immersive and creative. It made me wish that we lived in a world full of quirks. It showed the great intensity of trying to become a hero, well-written in a way that most superhero movies don't do.

The characters all were distinct with unique personalities and abilities. All-Might was compelling and strong with a charming, likeable personality. Aizawa is an attractive, cool teacher even if he can be too strict. Ochako is a bit too polite but I still think she is a great character mainly because of her cheerful, amiable attitude and also she FLIES. Asui can say things that may offend people but she's also sensible enough to not be annoying with it. The only ones I didn't like were Izuku (wipe your snot, Izuku) and Mineta, who were crybabies but also in the case of Mineta, perverted. Izuka is not as bad as Mineta, he's just mediocre but what I liked about him is that he's cute and badass. Oh, I almost forgot Katsuki is another character I don't like because I don't like overconfident hot-headed characters and he was such a bully to poor Izuka.

The art is a little simplistic and nothing to write home about, the animation however is charming. It's one of the anime that has a really good dub, the actors were charming, funny and brought fresh life to their characters. I love its goofy comedy and its exciting action. The anime is a bit derivative and not completely groundbreaking but it executes most of its tropes creatively.

Come back for my watching My Hero Academia Season 1 on 4th month times. The last review is A Silent Voice movie (Koe no Katachi) which is vivid, touching and realistic anime. I believe that My Hero Academia Season 1 is most hype and hot-blood superhero just like other Shounen Jump anime (Example: One Piece, Fullmetal Achelmist or Naruto). This anime is produced by Bones and the author is Kouhei Horikoshi which made a surprised and hype. I agree that why everyone needs to superpower, only to realize because the main character (mean quirks) is not easily to used his superpowers and need more times to face a variety of problems and staunch who given the chance to chance is fate.

STORY SECTION: 10/10 Score "Masterpiece"
Analysis: Premise 2/2, Pacing 2/2, Complexity 2/2, Plausibility 2/2, Conclusion 2/2

This story about everybody faces be bullying and rival raid problems, these problems are highlight hot-blood, explosion force and how to solve their these problem are good or bad. These problem is hype and wonderful just like A Silent Voice Movie. Izuku Midoriya aka "Deku" is the main protagonist of My Hero Academia. He is kind, timid, helpful and polite boy. Since his childhood hasn't "quirks" superpower who being bullying by his friend Katsuki Bakugou just like Shouko Nishimiya from A Silent Voice Movie. He want to join the Hero school mean "U.A. High" who will become to superhero. Also, Izuku meets the best aka No.1 superhero and his hero Idol is call All Might, and All Might aka Toshinori Yagi is always smile and staunch on his face just like America Captain. Finally, Izuku decided to training and how to become successful superhero and avoid to being bullying.

The introduction story is hype, fresh shounen type and touching which can explain to bullying other people may become to victim and how to become superhero who can make them strong and hot-blood. I feel melancholy and helpless that I have been bullying. After grueling training on 1 months, Izuku is enter the U.A. High in class 1-A with his friends just like Ochako Uraraka, Tsuyu Asui and other people who passes the Entrance Exam Arc and defeat sludge villain with All Might. This is not easily, but need more patient about the superheros how to defeat the villain league. The middle stages battle aka Battle Trial Arc or mock villain battle exam is show that the superheros how to defeat the villain and protect themselves just like Izuku Midoriya and Ochako Uraraka group called "Heroes group" verses Katsuki Bakugou and Tenya Iida group called "Villain group". Result that Uraraka touch the nuclear weapons and win the arc with Izuku. But Izuku always used his Detroit Smash who injured with his hands. The final ending is little good and bad about the superheroes group successful that defeat the villain league with Izuku Midoriya group verses Tomura Shigaraki group (Note: All Might has join to heroes group battle the villain league group). I know that the final episode called half-bad ending is more entertaining and hype with characters development is how to good or bad.

Edit: I think the story is hype and explosion force with 13 episodes. Honestly that this plot has more hot-blood, complex about bullying problems and fresh shounen type which is make many people more fun and brilliant to watch this anime. This point of view was explained that bullying other people may become to victim and how to become superhero who can make them strong and hot-blood. All I can say is this anime has story background that everyone want to become superhero who has dream about and more energy, passion and excitement story with childhood and other plot. Overall, the story plot is more lovable and hype.

ART/ANIMATION SECTION: 10/10 Score "Masterpiece"
Art Analysis: General Artwork 2/2, Character Figures 2/2, Backgrounds 2/2, Animation 2/2, Visual Effects 2/2

I really think this animation is very done and amazing. All I can say is this anime is produced by Bones just liked Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood which is more unique and brilliant. This art has such explosion force, hot-blood fight type and natural which is more vivid and heartwarming. I think the author called Kouhei Horikoshi is great work about the Marvel and DC-manga theme because this animation has fresh American Cartoon style which is help this characters design and development without awful and suck. (Note: I hasn't read this manga but I hope I can read this manga later.) Overall, this animation has more emotional sensitive and hot-blood which is beyond emotional these face.

SOUND SECTIONS: 10/10 Score "Masterpiece"
Sound Analysis: Voice Acting 3/3, Music Themes 4/4, Sound Effects 3/3

Okay, just explained that the sounds, the anime opening is "The Day" song by Porno Graffiti who is band vocalist. I think the opening song is much brilliant and hype which is more fit, catchy and fast song with classic shounen battle fight and also brilliant with the visual songs. The ending song is "HEROES" by The Brain who is touching and beautiful songs with Izuku another story. Why can't enjoy these two songs?

Additionally, I am happily that this anime characters voice acting is more natural and touching which is more energy, passion and excitement sounds. Kenta Miyake is voice by All Might aka Toshinori Yagi and he is always the burst who made other people outstanding his smile superhero voice. He also talked "It's fine now. Why? Because I am here!" I hear that All Might voice is loud and explosion force with not much awful. This quote is really great and epic for Kenta Miyake's job. Then, Daiki Yamashita is voice by Izuku Midoriya who is kind, timid, helpful and polite boy. I think Daiki's vocal is unanimously synchronized with Izuku timid and shy. He also outstanding his voice with Izuku calm and polite while doing the narration job. The other characters voice are brilliant and touching just liked Kaji Yuuki, Marina Innoe, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Ayane Sakura and Aoi Yuuki whose are make me heartbreaking sounds and professional voice actor. I just liked this anime OST which is amazing and hot-blood feel.

CHARACTER SECTION: 10/10 Score "Masterpiece"
Analysis: Presence 2/2, Personality 2/2, Backdrop 2/2, Development 2/2, Catharsis 2/2

The characters development are really great and fresh with originality which have emotional sensitive and brilliant characters personality. Also, the characters is more energy, passion and excitement which is make me hype and hot-blood feels. Especially All Might again, he is No.1 American superheroes stereotypes just like Captain America who is tall and overly-muscular man. He also always founds Izuku Midoriya (mean stupid and idiot childhood-hero boy) , teaches and trains Izuku how to become a superhero teenager boys with U.A. High and avoid Izuku being bullied by Katsuki Bakugou, but All Might is transformed to normal type who is weird hairstyle and nothing smile face with Toshinori Yagi. Fortunately, All Might is surprised that defeat the different vilian team with Izuku team who is laughing and more burst. The other characters are more interesting and unique whose are more lovable and realistic.

VALUE SECTION: 10/10 Score "Masterpiece"
Analysis: Historical Value 3/3, Rewatchability 3/3, Memorability 4/4

If you understand the situation, we need reminder that this is show that this anime series is more hype, realistic, hot-blood superhero and shounen type. I think My Hero Academia Season 1 is more funny and taste presentation with worth to watch and more hot-blood story plot and more lovable characters development to create a symphony of awesome. This has characters background especially No.1 American Superhero for All Might and timid boy for Izuku Midoriya. I think the author is great job with fresh and unique superhero theme. Overall, I think this anime is hype and more hot-blood energy value.

ENJOYMENT SECTION: 10/10 Score "Masterpiece"
Analysis: Art 1/1, Sound 2/2, Story 3/3, Characters 4/4

Oh, I loved this anime series. It reminds me this anime is great and surprised about action, super power and shounen genre alike. These can make me crying that Izuku how to become the greatest quirk with superhero and avoid being bullying by Katsuki Bakugou who is found All Might and his good friends. Overall, this anime is more enjoyable and hype which is make many people touching and surprised to watch this anime.

OVERALL: 10/10 Score "Masterpiece"

Let's get rid of something first: I enjoyed my time with Boku no Hero Academia (My Hero Academia) a great deal. However, you should not get your hopes too high as this is yet another safe shounen with remarkable production people decided to hype for the sake of hyping alone. My Hero Academia offers no genius twist, tackles no new causes, and not even offers an engrossing plotline to make it stand amongst the hall of superpower shounens. So, why the hell did I enjoy it? Why the hell people enjoyed it?

Well, for starters, this is a superpower shounen, a genre that is like pop music, everyone hears some of it and the masses love it even if they only repeat the same phrase for five minutes. But this is also a tale that starts heavy on emotions and delivers one of the best first set of episodes of the genre in general, only not enduring this demanding quality for the rest of it.

This is the world of heroes, where people are born with exquisite quirks that can vary from spitting fire to being born half a crow and half a man. Izuku Midoriya, however, is a quirkless and desperate boy, one who grew up dreaming of becoming a hero and savior. His life takes a turn as he is chosen to inherit the mysterious power of his very idol, the great All Might, and is up to him to face the challenges of the Hero Academia and pursue his dream.

  1. Good ol' Bones
My Hero Academia is beautiful. It has a style of its own, a colorful palette with weird-looking costumes and thick strokes, making us remind a little of One Punch Man, yet being far more alive. The animation team also worked a good deal, delivering expressive characters and some decent combat sequences, even if not exactly superb as a few others around. Considering this is a show from Bones, a studio that somehow lost their touch in the last few years, it is certainly good to see them delivering such a great experience.

    And it starts with more
My Hero Academia starts as Izuku shows his heroic spirit and determination to face head on the challenge of becoming a professional hero. This tale of coming of age comes along with bullying, discrimination, and a good development of a setting that initially seems just a bland parody of the contemporaneous "Marvel Effect" affecting all kinds of media. A mixture like this, joined by the expressive characters, work to make My Hero Academia's first set of episodes an amazing emotional experience considering its genre, becoming something more than just a popcorn watch.

It fails to keep the momentum though
Yeah. Sadly, after Izuku joins the Hero Academia and starts his course to become a hero, everything loses the magic. The weakling boy gains the most amazing power there is, the setting changes from a society of opressive expectations over the protagonist to everyone cheering for him and respecting him, even if he does sh*t to deserve that, and there is not a twist anymore to the formula. You know what will happen. You've seen shows like this hundreds of times before. So yeah, the second half just barely succeeds in being fun because it still got the animation quality and because...

It got a bit of style
I mentioned the art had its own style, but it goes beyond that. Boku no Hero Academia manages to turn its late standard part into something not mediocre because of a tiny bit of fun of its secondary cast. All Might's appearance sure work to grab you into the action, Tsu's bizarre voice acting, face, and phrases make the late part a tad comical, and the over-the-top action manages not lose itself to nonsense. It's not enough to make the show shine, but it works to ensure you this remains as a safe shounen to have fun with.

And it teases with the next season
Although My Hero Academia ends this first season without much of a grand event and nearly zero progression with the protagonist superpower, it does a good job teasing what may come next. Unlike One Punch Man where twelve episodes where enough to laugh with Saitama and you get bored knowing he will never lose, here you can have a few doubts of All Might and can expect some growing up with the younger cast. Sadly though, it seems the protagonist is destined to be just yet another of the annoying kind, one the entire industry would be better without.

It was a fun ride. Although hyped shows typically annoy me from the start, My Hero Academia did a good job at making me remember more of Hunter X Hunter than the recent over-hyped One Punch Man. It got more style than dozens of shows around where everyone looks the same, it did a great job with action sequences, and All Might is a simple parody character that delivers more than many who try to be serious in the genre do.

It is not that superb though. It start is a great work more akin to sports than superpower shounens, but the rest of it is mundane. The execution and its style, along with a few successful hits in the middle of a cast horde, can save the day and keep your attention. Now we can only wait to the next season and hope Izuku will do a complete change of personality, otherwise if we are stuck with a stupid annoying and overly repeated protagonist template there is little hope My Hero Academia can grow beyond the shackles of a safe shounen experience.

clever (3)A clever or smart person is generally understood as having broad knowledge and the sharpness of mind required to put that knowledge to good use, especially when applying rational thought to long-reaching decisions, with the broad knowledge leaning more on the smart side and the sharp mind on the clever side. Unlike a genius, the clever person may be skilled, but only mundanely so, and in contrast to a cunning person, a clever person is not characterized by being sly or apt at surreptitiousness.cryokinesis (2)Cryokinesis is the ability to reduce the kinetic energy of atoms and thus reduce temperature. It can be used to control, generate, or absorb ice.electricity manipulation (2)The character can directly manipulate electricity, without needing any machinery or devices. This may or may not make them immune to the usual dangers of electroshock.extrasensory perception (3)Extrasensory perception (ESP), involves reception of information not gained through the recognized physical senses but sensed with the mind.extreme durability (4)The character possesses some sort of natural armor. It takes extreme amounts of damage to even injure, let alone kill him/her/it.extreme speed (6)The character has an astonishing speed, surpassing the Human limits.genius (3)A genius is someone possessing extraordinary intelligence or skill, normally to a degree associated with the achievement of unprecedented insight, and especially when demonstrated through a creative or original work in a field of human knowledge. Such ability is well beyond the realm of an ordinarily clever person, who instead applies a sharp mind to mundane levels of skill.gravity control (2)The character can control gravity.invisibility (2)The ability to avoid visual detection.levitation (1)Levitation is the process by which an object is suspended by a physical force against gravity, in a stable position without solid physical contact. domino mask (3)A domino mask is a small, often rounded mask covering only the area around the eyes and the space between them. The masks have seen special prevalence since the 18th century, when they became traditional wear in particular local manifestations of Carnival, particularly with Venetian Carnival. Domino masks have found their way into a variety of high and popular art forms.glasses (2)Glasses (also called eyeglasses or spectacles) are frames bearing lenses worn in front of the eyes, normally for vision correction, eye protection, or for protection from UV rays. For practical tagging purposes, sunglasses should not be considered glasses; the "glasses" tag is specifically about the type that doesn`t block light. However, a character who wears prescription glasses with dark lenses or who wears both eyewear types should take both tags.goggles (2)Goggles, or safety glasses, are forms of protective eyewear that usually enclose or protect the area surrounding the eye in order to prevent particulates, water or chemicals from striking the eyes.helmet (3)Primarily used as protective head gear. However, it can also be decorative and is frequently used to conceal one`s visage and identity.mask (7)Masks are items normally worn on the face. clothingClothing is fiber and textile material worn on the body.

blazer (2)Blazers and sport coats are two similar types of jacket. Both have a similar cut and length to a business suit jacket/blazer/coat and both generally have lapels, but blazers / sport coats are cut more casually. Stylistically, blazers and sport coats are often uniform garments, such as for airlines, schools, and yachting and rowing clubs.bodysuit (7)A bodysuit is a one-piece outfit that fits the body tightly. The most famous anime bodysuits are doubtlessly the Evangelion plugsuits. Space suits are not bodysuits, because they are not tight, but one-piece wetsuits or swimwear are. They do not have to cover the legs, as bodysuits do not need to cover the entire body. They are not to be confused with an entirely different piece of clothing that covers the torso and crotch and which is also named bodysuit, but is an undergarment, not an outfit.boots (8)Boots are heavy-duty work shoes that are often made of leather and have thick rubber soles. They are usually found stomping on things: floors, people, etc. Generally, typical boots can be as short as angle height (ankle boots), and as long as the mid point of the lower leg (crew length boots). Boots at least longer than crew length would be half boots or higher.cape (2)A cape is a sleeveless, hood-less outer garment, which drapes the wearer`s back, arms, and chest, and connects at the neck. In contrast to a cloak, a cape leaves the front fairly open whereas a cloak provides more frontal cover. A short cape that only covers just the shoulders is a capelet. A cape or cloak with sleeves is a robe.lab coat (2)A laboratory coat, also called white coat and often abbreviated to lab coat, is a knee-length overcoat/smock worn by professionals in the medical field or by those involved in laboratory work. The coat protects their street clothes and also serves as a simple uniform. The garment is made from white or light-coloured cotton, linen, or cotton polyester blend, allowing it to be washed at high temperature and making it easy to see whether it is clean.school uniform (20)A type of uniform worn in Japanese schools (called "seifuku" in Japanese), generally high school age or younger. They can vary considerably; commonly, females will wear a sailor uniform (modelled off the British Royal Navy uniforms in 1920) and males will often wear a "gakuran", which is a dark button-up uniform modelled off Prussian army uniforms. But expect to see a substantial amount of variety.skirt (6)A skirt is a tube- or cone-shaped piece of clothing that hangs from the waist and covers the legs partially or fully. Skirts are often seen as garments for women, but exceptions exist. In anime, they`re almost always worn by women, generally as school uniform or workplace garments, and a man with one will likely be cross-dressing. Skirts that go below the knee are usually associated with strict rules and at times with winter, though even in winter anime schoolgirls in miniskirts can be found.
