With warming and a decrease in electricity consumption, and on the other hand – an increase in renewable generation, the situation with electricity supply will improve, believes Serhiy Kovalenko, CEO of energy supplier YASNO.

"Spring is a positive phenomenon from an energy standpoint... In April, consumption is always at its minimum because we no longer use electricity for heating and not yet for air conditioning. At the same time, there's high generation from green energy. I think everyone notices that we're gradually moving (toward improving the electricity situation). Dnipro and Kyiv see things getting better every day," Kovalenko said on the United News telethon.

At the same time, he emphasized that Russia has not stopped attacks on energy infrastructure.

"The enemy hasn't stopped destroying anything. Attacks continue. Odesa region is suffering greatly, as well as other southern regions and border areas," Kovalenko noted.

As for consumer sentiment, according to him, everyone will invest in their own generation and energy storage systems.

"The main trend is private generation, batteries and software products that will manage this system," the energy supplier's CEO explained.
