Zelenskyy: Russia fails to achieve set goals in border areas of Sumy, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions
On the front, the Russian army is trying to increase its assault activity, but this only leads to an increase in its losses; also, Russia has failed to achieve its set goals in the border areas of Sumy, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said following a report by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky.
"Currently, the situation at the front is quite tense – the Russian army is trying to increase its assault activity. But this only leads to an increase in its losses and does not disrupt our operations. It is important that Russia failed to achieve its set goals in the border areas of Sumy, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions and is once again pushing back its deadlines," Zelenskyy wrote on his Telegram channel on Wednesday.
"In the Southern direction, our units continue to implement the designated tasks – I thank every unit, every soldier, sergeant, and officer for this," Zelenskyy added.
He discussed tasks regarding deep strikes with Syrsky.
