A lava coil is a piglin structure that can be found within the various piglin bases of Minecraft Legends.

Spawning

Lava coils spawn in medium and high level piglin bases in numbers of one to three.

In the Snow vs Snouts lost legend, four of them will spawn.

Behavior

When a lava coil is present in a piglin base, it prevents the nether portal in that base from being damaged and gives it a glowing lava effect. Once all lava coils are destroyed, the nether portal becomes vulnerable.
