A Minecraft Movie is an adventure comedy film based on the video game Minecraft directed by Jared Hess and written by Chris Bowman, Hubbel Palmer, Neil Widener, Gavin James, and Chris Galletta, based on a story by Allison Schroeder, Bowman, and Palmer. A Minecraft Movie was released in London, England, on March 30, 2025, and was theatrically released in the United States by Warner Bros. Pictures on April 4, 2025.
The movie follows a group of misfits who are pulled through a mysterious portal into the Overworld. They must embark on a quest to find their way home and protect the Overworld from a piglin invasion alongside legendary crafter Steve.
A sequel to the movie, titled A Minecraft Movie Squared is in development and is slated to be released on July 23, 2027.
An iron golem is an inorganic entity being designed to patrol and protect villages from external threats. Iron golems are generally peaceful and kind creatures, described as "big softies" by Steve himself. While this is true, as iron golems will not go out of their way to attack other creatures, they will however brutally defend both themselves and their creators if either are provoked.
