Why does the About template at the top of the page start with "This movie is about..."? There's no parameter in the template's syntax that could cause this to happen, so is it just automatic because of the Movie namespace? Signed, RetroNintendo85 👁 Image

Remove the link to the ender dragon? (spoiler)
[edit source]
I just watched the film and there was no mention or visual of the Ender Dragon. Also I don't think it was ever implied that Steve battled the Ender Dragon at one point, what do you think? Block place1232 (talk) 16:10, 13 April 2025 (UTC)
- He mentions the dragon in I Feel Alive, and he’s been shown to have the egg in supplementary material, though it’s definitely vague. Even in the song, it sounds like he has elytra before finding the End somehow? Realshow19 (talk) 16:14, 13 April 2025 (UTC)
- Should the link redirect to the regular ender dragon instead temporarily, like make that page a redirect to the regular ender dragon Block place1232 (talk) 16:31, 13 April 2025 (UTC)
- I think it’s important we treat the movie like its own thing, don’t link to the mainspace unless a section is talking about a direct reference. Steve didn’t fight the ender dragon boss, he fought an actual dragon in his universe. None of that information is relevant to the movie. Realshow19 (talk) 16:34, 13 April 2025 (UTC)

- Several of those are on the item’s pages, others just aren’t notable. Ideally enunciated quotes like those would come with clear audio files, but we only have the ones from the server right now. Realshow19 (talk) 17:00, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

- There really isn’t much of a point, it’s already quoted on this and other pages multiple times. All it adds is wasted space for a tired joke that’s not even really a full quote. Realshow19 (talk) 12:47, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
- While I agree that it shouldn’t be in the quotes section due to being already on the page, I disagree with you that it is not a full quote.Drour1234 (talk) 19:08, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
- It's a quote in the literal sense, but not in the notable, formal sense. Generally I would say quotes sections should be either comprehensive or representative; either they're for a subject with not much dialogue so listing them all is helpful, or handpicked quotes that are individually important. For Steve he's the main character so it has to be the latter, inevitably some will be there because of memes or marketing but I try to add ones that are inherently valuable. Realshow19 (talk) 19:14, 19 May 2025 (UTC)

- The quote is already on the page more than twice.Drour1234 (talk) 04:02, 21 May 2025 (UTC)
- I only see it once in the sounds menu Thatonesteve (talk) 22:50, 21 May 2025 (UTC)
- also it is a quote and that's what the quote section is for Thatonesteve (talk) 22:50, 21 May 2025 (UTC)
- The sounds section functions essentially the same as the quotes section. That's why it is a subsection in this page. It is completely unnecessary for another quote when we already have it in a even better form, an audio. Also the quote is a meme, and having another one is overdoing the joke/meme 👁 Image

The page mentions Steve was trapped in the Overworld. This is obviously not true, considering he didn’t take the second Earth Crystal from the Woodland Mansion when he had the chance and both the Orb and Crystal were in the sack when Dennis deposited them on Earth. In fact, how could the Earth Portal have been open? I know it’s a little confusing when Malgosha steals the Orb from Steve the first time, because why would she want it with the Crystal on it? But no, he was not trapped. Therefore, I changed it. 8.24.109.26 18:58, 10 August 2025 (UTC)
Pardon me, but someone came in and griefed the edits I made to this page, to use a Minecraft term, completely erasing the work I had completed. Please reveal yourself. 8.24.109.26 01:51, 11 August 2025 (UTC)
- I am not "griefing your edits". It simply appears that your edits contained speculation and some pretty big assumptions. It would be good to talk about why I reverted your edits. Would that be okay with you? -~- Nerdyguy2000 Talk Edits 01:55, 11 August 2025 (UTC)
- Yes! I would love that! One thing, though, how come you reverted my addition to Biography regarding the Redstone Mountains and Woodland Mansion if the page specifically says to add them there? 8.24.109.26 01:05, 12 August 2025 (UTC)
- Okaaay, well, your latest edit was reverted by someone else. But what addition specifically are you talking about? And where does it say to add them? -~- Nerdyguy2000 Talk Edits 01:08, 12 August 2025 (UTC)
- Right below the Biography label. No one took it down or followed its instructions. I’ll have you know I’ve seen the film personally, many times, in fact, and I’m good at drawing conclusions. Some things don’t need drawing, like how Steve obviously wasn’t trapped in the Overworld, and it’s obvious someone who didn’t watch the movie wrote that. I’d like to ask if you’re a contributor/user or somewhere higher up, closer to the admin, to use another Minecraft term. 8.24.109.26 18:14, 12 August 2025 (UTC)
- Something seeming obvious to you doesn't mean it's objective information about the film's canon. It's okay to mention a possibility in passing, but if it's only presumed don't write it like it's confirmed. These pages are supposed to document the characters and story as they exist, not fan theories. Realshow19 (talk) 18:22, 12 August 2025 (UTC)
- True, but like Realshow said, something can be "obvious" but not canon. Like, I noticed one of your edits that said Steve defeated two endermen at the mansion and got two ender pearls, and then found out that they teleported stuff. Several things with this:
- How do you know it was at the mansion? Endermen do spawn elsewhere.
- Maybe Steve's sword just had looting and he got 2?
- Or maybe he heard from a cleric villager or somewhere else that ender pearl teleported?
- So there are many faults with some of this stuff, so although it seems obvious, (heck, I even agree with some of it) it's not canonically true. -~- Nerdyguy2000 Talk Edits 23:38, 12 August 2025 (UTC)
- Adding to the two responses above, we shouldn’t draw conclusions based on just a two pieces of information. It’s better to base conclusions on multiple points of evidence that consistently support and strongly imply the same outcome.
- For example, for finding out the identity of the Sage of the Stolen Flame, consider how these four separate pieces of information lead to one conclusion:
- A legend in Natlan speaks of the first Pyro Archon and a human known as the Sage of the Stolen Flame, who gave people the knowledge to wield primordial flames.
- Foreseeing the fall of his dragonkind due to violence and believing they would find salvation from sharing knowledge to other races, Kukulkan stole a seed of Phlogiston and set out to find other lands.
- Phlogiston is an advanced form of Pyro and is stated as Teyvat's primordial form of energy.
- After Little One was flooded with information, Kukulkan transformed into a familiar form, a human, to ease Little One’s confusion.
- These four independent facts all point to the same conclusion: the human known as the Sage of the Stolen Flame and the dragon known as Kukulkan are one and the same.
- In contrast, assuming Steve killed 2 endermen in the mansion relies only on two facts:
- Steve went to the woodland mansion and knows there is an enderman on the third floor.
- Steve has an ender pearl in his stash.
- This is too little evidence to conclude that Steve went to the mansion and killed two endermen, especially since ender pearls can be bought from clerics and endermen can be found anywhere in the world as Nerdyguy2000 said. 👁 Image

- Okay, it’s me again. Yeah, I understand all this, and I didn’t realize it before. I’m a fan of lore, and, addressing the reply above, it never occurred to me that endermen could spawn somewhere else, but at the time I was thinking there are multiple inconsistencies between the film and game, and Steve never mentions endermen anywhere else. Additionally, he couldn’t know the ender pearl teleported you unless he had just one more, we don’t see cleric villagers on the film.
- Thanks for the perspective, guys. I like talking as a community, though we’re probably on other ends of the nation, and I appreciate you telling me your point of view on the subject.
- However, still no one has identified themselves as the one who reverted my addition to Biography regarding the Redstone Mountains and Woodland Mansion, though the page says to put them there. The page also states Steve was trapped in the Overworld, though he obviously wasn’t. (I’m not using “obviously” like I was before. It is a crucial plot point that the Earth Portal remained open) I fixed that, and someone reverted the edit. …hmmm? 8.24.109.26 02:01, 13 August 2025 (UTC)
- Glad we can sort this out. I'm a fan of lore too by the way. Though anyhow, Steve does also conveniently neglect to mention his deal with Malgolsha, so there's no telling what other things he didn't mention. He did only say he risked his life fighting an enderman, so it coulda been in a cave or somewhere. Though even if clerics weren't seen, that definitely doesn't mean they ain't in there. Or maybe he just stashed the pearl away when he got it and didn't know what it was and heard about it from the piglins, I mean, endermen are in the Nether too.
- Oh yeah, and about the "opposite ends of the nation"... we're not all in one country if my knowledge is correct. We're like on opposite ends of the world.
- Okay, so about the mansion thing... who says he found the mansion after the mines? Also what if he didn't actually build a lot of that stuff? If Minecraft Legends took place before the movie, which I rather think it canonically did, then who's to say a hero didn't mine underground and build the vault and the mineshaft?
- I like your lore, but unfortunately it wouldn't fit in mainspace. Thanks for caring enough to edit though :)
- (Also, could you explain again why Steve wasn't actually trapped in the Overworld? And when was he not?) -~- Nerdyguy2000 Talk Edits 02:13, 13 August 2025 (UTC)
- Okay, first, your account name sounds very American, though many Minecraft YouTubers are English. To the point, Steve couldn’t have been trapped in the Overworld because he himself said another Earth Crystal lies in the loot chamber. I’ll let you resolve that yourself. Also, Dennis runs through the Earth Portal to stash the Earth Cube under Steve’s water bed. That sets up the entire movie, mate. For more, head to an earlier topic of mine on this page, .
- Also, eh heh heh, isn’t stating Minecraft Legends takes place before the movie like me saying Steve killed two endermen in the loot chamber? It’s definitely possible, and now that you mention it, Malgosha could have been a daughter figure to the Seer, training under her after the piglin war failed, learning of the Great Hog name, how Nether wart stops piglins from zombifying, and how to use magic. Also, the Seer previously used the Orb of Dominance, and could have told Malgosha about it, but that would mean the heros of Minecraft Legends were humans, meaning Steve wasn’t the first human to grace the Overworld. It could also be Malgosha is a reincarnation of the Seer, or was possessed by her, explaining why she didn’t hunch over in childhood.
- Anyway, I believe Steve built everything man-made in the Overworld. It’s simpler that way. It also makes sense that Steve would grace the Woodland Mansion after the Redstone Mountains, considering it lies farther from Midport Village. Write again soon and cheerio, mate! 8.24.109.26 02:27, 13 August 2025 (UTC)
- I only added that last line to confuse you nationality-wise. I’m not a Brit. 8.24.109.26 02:27, 13 August 2025 (UTC)

- Maybe, maybe not. After all we can't exactly read each others' tones based on plain text. -~- Nerdyguy2000 Talk Edits 02:52, 13 August 2025 (UTC)
- Yea, but, uh, I cite Minecraft Legends:Return of the Piglins, a canon novel. The nether wart cure was developed a second time by Kritten, who had learned of it via the murals in a cave depicting the Minecraft Legends piglin invasion. Also on the Minecraft Legends page it says it's a literal legend "lost to time", presumably lost to time from the perspective of the Minecraft timeline. Heroes being humans... evolution maybe? But someone had to be the one to build mineshafts, so they coulda also built those. Though now my own arguments are pretty heavy speculation.
- With the nation argument, my name being very american is probably because I am in fact in the US, but, uhh, there's still people all over the place, like in Russia or Belgium or England or-- oh yeah, I have a whole page about this.
- Been nice discussing lore, though by the way [[User:Nerdyguy2000/Thoughts2#Lore_that_actually_makes_sense_(kind_of)|I have some of my own theories, so maybe on my talk page we can chat about lore :) -~- Nerdyguy2000 Talk Edits 02:41, 13 August 2025 (UTC)
