A compass is a device used for navigation. It consists of a redstone needle that points to certain locations. It was given to Jesse by Binta, and it leads to the admins' cabin.
Fred gave it to Binta before he died. Binta used it, but she got stopped at the gates of Romeoburg. Its needle points to the cabin.
Jesse, after coming out of Fred's house, receives it from Binta so he could find the weapon he was looking for.
