A shield is a tool that is used to deflect attacks from enemies. Two shield designs appear in the series, one wielded by Slab and Jesse, and the other by Radar.
In A Journey's End?, during the Lava Race, Slab will fight Jesse using a shield in Gladiator Junction. Later, Jesse will receive an enchanted shield and fight Hadrian and Mevia with it.
In Jailhouse Block, Radar equips a shield in the Sunshine Institute's armory to fight off hostile mobs.
