Lukas' journal is a book that he has been writing throughout the New Order of the Stone's adventures.

The journal mentions about the dimensions the New Order of the Stone has visited, the adventures they had there, and Lukas's thoughts and feelings.

Lukas took the book from the Spooky Mansion offscreen during the events of A Portal to Mystery.

During Access Denied, after putting out the fire on his body after their portal hopping, Lukas wrote an entry in the journal and noted the last dimension they visited as "Fire World". After the group failed to see redstone immediately after exiting the portal made out of redstone, Lukas stated that every world had to have redstone and checked the journal. When Jesse asked what the book was, Lukas explained that he had picked it up from the Spooky Mansion and that it contained information about biomes and other topics. If Lukas was unchipped in Harper's laboratory, he could be seen writing in it while Jesse was searching for the headset.

After being eliminated in Spleef during A Journey's End?, Lukas dropped the book and its quill after dying. The book later came into the possession of Slab in the competitor village, who refused to return it. If Jesse approached Sebastian on the way to Hadrian's palace, Slab would not give the book back. If Jesse ignored Sebastian and avoided insulting the gladiators during the Walls, Slab would return the book to Lukas.

After returning to the Order Hall, Lukas told Jesse that the journal had become a legitimate book. He also said that he still needed to write about Jesse at the end, since Jesse had been the hero throughout the story. Jesse could choose what Lukas would write, including that they could not have done it without their friends, that everyone returned home safely, that the evil was vanquished, or that Jesse was the greatest hero ever.

Lukas then suggested placing the book in the Order Hall alongside the other treasures. Jesse could either agree or let Lukas keep it. If placed, Jesse noticed that the book sat on the same pedestal where the portal atlas had been and realized that Ivor had taken it.

During Hero in Residence, Lukas read a new version of the book to Jesse, Olivia, and Axel. They provided feedback on the writing and discussed whether the story should be written accurately or exaggerate. Lukas had hoped to finish the book in time for Founding Day, but state it would instead completed the following year. He also mentioned that once Ivor and Harper returned, he would write a chapter about them, which would complete the book.

In the post credits scene, Lukas was continuing to write the book. He stopped after noticing the Admin heading toward Beacontown.

During JesseCon, Jesse could find a copy of Lukas' book backstage at the event. Jesse noted that whoever owned the chest must have been a fan.
