I noticed that in the past few edits, there were people who were constantly changing the infobox from neutral to negative, then back again. I'm afraid that this could eventually lead to edit-warring, so we should decide which one is true. As I haven't really tried out the new snapshot yet, I will try it tonight and reply to this discussion about whether I think it's negative or neutral. I don't think there's such thing as a 'neutral; effect, as the game shows it either on the top of the screen or one square below (the negative effects always render lower than the positive ones, even when there are no positive effects active). Unless the game has a new 'neutral' effect row on the HUD, I will 👁 Image
Support the side saying it's negative. --MinecraftExp123(talk|contribs) 09:26, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
- After testing, I can conclude that this effect is in fact negative. I will change it on the page. However, if I'm wrong, please revert my edits.
- Also, I realized that I just called 1.20.5 a 'snapshot' when it's already realeased. Sorry! --MinecraftExp123(talk|contribs) 09:42, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
- There's nothing to really talk about. All the new potion effects (infested, oozing, weaving, wind charged) are classified as "negative". They appear in the second line of effects in the top-right corner, same as e.g. Weakness. Another feature to distinguish them is their color: potion of a negative effect has a red text when cursor hovers over it, while potion of a positive effect has a blue text.
- No signs of there being such thing as a "neutral" effect. Melwin22 (talk) 09:43, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
- That is exactly what I meant. Sorry for not talking very clearly. By 'one square below' I meant the second line of effects.
- The past few edits were about people (IP editors) changing to neutral, then someone, either an experienced user or an admin, changing it back. Should I put this page on the protection requests on the admin board? --MinecraftExp123(talk|contribs) 09:50, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
- "Neutrtal" effects do exist (these are glowing, bad omen, raid omen and trial omen). Infested, weaving, oozing and wind charged are classified as "harmful" in the code anyway--Capopanzo (talk | contribs) 15:29, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
