Some key points for improving this page:
1. Are Woodland Mansions randomly generated on the inside? (Meaning does the interior of each one look different?
2. Do they have a coordinate requirement? The only Woodland Mansions I've seen are +10,000 blocks from the world origin...
3. I found a chest at the top of a mansion with the following loot:

I don't know the answer but I would like to add an additional question. what are the percent chances that a specific room will spawn and other special things that affect the mansion's generation Teamdevosjes (talk) 10:27, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
Are we getting the room names from somewhere? Or are we free to make them up? -PancakeIdentity (talk) 01:37, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
I think the carpets in the Map Room look like a parrot head, but I guess a map is more likely. 98.5.116.241 14:29, 30 June 2017 (UTC)
Feel free to change them if you feel there is a better name. Also, please name unnamed rooms. If there are official room names, please let us know. -PancakeIdentity (talk) 04:31, 1 October 2016 (UTC)
We could just add a picture column in the table, or organize the gallery by room type. Either way would make it less cluttered. What should we do? -PancakeIdentity (talk) 18:41, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
The Lava room name is 2x2_s1 instead of mansion/2x2_c1! I Found it with WinRAR!JustBence6 (talk) 21:40, 28 October 2016 (UTC) –Preceding unsigned comment was added by JustBence6 (talk • contribs) at 10:34, October 28, 2016 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~
I'm quite new to this whole gamepedia thing, seeing as I just created an account to submit this... um, so please bear with me if I make a mistake lol. I seem to have found a room within a woodland mansion that isn't listed on the table. It has what appears to be a combat ring, with an upper ring around the ceiling which contains a single chest. I have a screenshot, but I can't seem to figure out how to embed the image, and the gamepedia site won't let me link an Imgur url because I'm a new account.
As such, I'll try to describe the room in a bit more detail. The 'ground' of the room contains two large windows and a 7x7 double stone slab platform, which has a 'ring' made of dark oak fence around the edges. right next to the entrance to this room, there is a ladder that leads to an upper ledge. This ledge is made out of oak planks, and is three blocks wide. On the outside plank, there is a ring around the ledge made of oak fence. There is also a small chest containing loot, on this ledge.
On another note, if someone could possibly explain how to upload an image or something, that would be nice lol. It showed a strange error entitled "Something went wrong" when I attempted to do so. The error in full, is as follows:

The rooms are not organized in the list. I propose that they are rearranged into alphabetical order. The Blobs👁 Image

How to find a secret room? --83.142.57.33 10:26, 9 April 2020 (UTC)

A mansion I found on the seed 6156886487891780603 at -16230 83 -2374 has no ladder for the arena room. However, there are many glitches in this mansion including dozens of missing blocks, so I'm wondering if the missing ladders are a glitch or not.– Unsigned comment added by 173.64.101.203 (talk). This is due to this bug. Should we change the part where it says this so it says that it is a bug? Gameking1happy (talk) 14:25, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
{{bug}} should suffice. Dhranios (talk) (Join the wiki videos project!) 14:27, 22 February 2021 (UTC)I have a mansion with 2 "grey banner rooms", but neither of them had any vindicators. As a result, the entire mansion has no vindicators.
Maybe they only spawn in the dark? I had placed torches near the room entrance before daring to investigate behind the stairs. GMRE (talk) 16:00, 4 April 2021 (UTC)
Until recently, I never tried anything in Survival mode with a mansion, and I noticed something. I play Bedrock Edition so I have no idea if this happens in Java Edition.
It seems that when I approach a mansion for the first time, I am free to explore the perimeter without being disturbed by any hostile mobs inside. I can even walk up to the entrance, remaining outside, and nothing happens as long as an illager doesn't happen to walk into view.
However, the instant I cross the threshold, there is a sort of flash as if I have triggered an alarm, summoning an illager or two (like an evoker and a vindicator) to dispatch me, which they do quite efficiently. I've been killed by vindicators in patrols before, so I know they hit hard and fast, dealing a lot of damage. The evoker was a new thing for me; the vexes did me in because I wasn't prepared.
I tried this a couple of times. Crossing the threshold seems to trigger a battle. This happens only in Survival. In Creative, nothing happens.
Does this happen also in Java Edition? Cross the threshold of the mansion entrance and suddenly you have to fight illagers?
If so, this needs a mention in the article. Amatulic (talk) 12:17, 3 September 2021 (UTC)
It seems someone has already mentioned in the article that the mansions are more common in 1.18. That's actually a bit of an understatement. I've done a lot of exploring by teleporting and locate commands in the same seed in Java 1.17 and 1.18 and they are A LOT more common now. Previously there was 1 with in 12'000 blocks and the next nearest 4 were like 50'000-90'000 blocks away/apart on average (at least in the seed I tested at), but now I've already found like 6 with in 20'000-30'000 blocks of the middle. GMRE (talk) 19:12, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
Later found 3 more with in that range for a total of 9 with in a reasonably possible travelling distance. GMRE (talk) 20:24, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
Someone removed the mention that mansions are more common now. They are more common, so what's the deal? GMRE (talk) 16:32, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
Separating 1.21.5 loot table and before it is probably not needed ItsGoey (talk) 15:40, 29 March 2025 (UTC)
None of the feature pages (woodland mansions, ancient cities, etc) actually link directly to their "exploration tutorial", and none of their names when typed in the search default to showing those either; This makes people who wish to access those pages more frustrated in the inability to find them.
{{Relevant tutorial}} template should be used on all of these pages. MinecraftBedrockPlayer7 (talk) (contribs) 👁 ImageThe image for the clean chest room replaced a chest with a structure block.
i noticed that it says they can spawn in those cave biomes on bedrock, why is that? what does that actually mean? how does a mansion spawn in a cave biome? 👁 Image
