This is a list of My hope and projection for the future of Minecraft.
Caves & Cliffs Update is one of the updates that many Minecraft players hoped for, and it finally comes out. However, something is missing. A dimension is still boring, and that is The End. Although it did got an update in Java Edition 1.9, It is still boring. The only actual purpose of The End is to kill the dragon, get the egg as your trophy, get a chorus fruit in case of danger, and then get an Elytra as well as the Dragon head. The End is simply too boring compared to Nether or Overworld, and it definitely needs an update.
If you are a veteran, you might remember Aether. Yes, as a kid i was dissapointed that Aether, alongside the glowstone portal, is fake. Although Brandon Pearce, the creator of Aether and today a Mojang Dev, says that there won't be a official version of Aether, That doesn't mean that there shouldn't be a Aether-like sky dimension. A sky dimension (which technically existed in beta Minecraft), Would make the game much more interesting.
For the first time since Java Edition 1.7.2, The terrain of the Overworld gets a complete overhaul in Caves & Cliffs. However, with current biomes and structures, it still feels bland. The addition of more biomes will definitely make the terrain even more interesting. Some biomes also needs an overhaul, such as Swamps, Deserts, Badlands, and Savannas, which Mojang promised to update although they lost the vote, as well as some other biomes. However, Structures should be a priority, because some structures are simply too bland and simple for modern Minecraft. Structures like Mineshafts, Desert pyramids, and Jungle pyramids needs a complete revamp. Although Mineshafts got the cool chain and oak log support in Caves & Cliffs, the entire structure is still too boring. Some structures that has been overhauled before, like Village, should have a bit more variety and with better generation.
Do you think that Hostile Mobs and Bosses in Minecraft are simply too boring? Because i think it definitely is. Compared to other block games like Terraria, Bosses in Minecraft just feels too easy. Although Wither and Ender Dragon is an actual threat in Bedrock Edition as it can kill even the most prepared players easily, it still need more bosses like that so that the game is more fun and challenging.
Every Update, Minecraft has gotten easier. And this is an actual problem since the point of survival is to survive as long as you can. I think that there should be a survival update, where certain weathers could kill you if you are not prepared, And a thirst bar, where you must drink a water or you die. Back in Alpha and Beta days, Survival are much harder since there is no running button, and the brightness is locked to moody, which means that caves are very dark.
Unless you live under a rock, you definitely knows about the Java-Bedrock Parity issues. Java doesn't have dead and fallen trees, edu blocks and items, snowlogging, etc. Bedrock doesn't have hardcore and spectator mode, debug screen, most of debug shortcuts, etc. Things get even worse when you see the Official pages/Parity issue list. So i hope that someday, Both editions as well as Education Edition, get a full parity update that will finally make all 3 editions same.
One of the reasons why some players says that Java Edition is better than Bedrock Edition is because Bedrock has microtransactions. In Java, you can easily download skins, maps, and mods for free in apps like CurseForge. In Bedrock, although you can do the same in apps like MCPEDL, You can't in consoles due to the Mod Policies by Sony and Nintendo. Although the entire point of microtransactions is to support creators, In Java Edition you can do it willingly by supporting them via patreon or via other means, instead of being forced to. So i like the idea of Bedrock Edition without microtransactions.
Now this is probably one of the craziest idea. Yes, i want Java Edition, Bedrock Edition, and Education Edition to be a single Minecraft, so that all players can play with each other with ease, as well as more fairness, but for now this is hard due to the fact that Java Edition uses Java while Bedrock Edition and Education Edition uses C++. Until they figure it out, i think this idea is too crazy for now.
