The style guide explicitly says that animals that exist in real life should not use their real life baby names unless it's somewhere in-game. Baby drowned is a bit more blurry because it doesn't exist in real life, but baby cows certainly shouldn't be called "calves". ‑‑MinecraftExp123(talk|contribs) 11:53, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
- Right... Jaime-Spec MC () 13:18, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
- It is somewhere in game. The subtitles refer to baby pigs as piglets now. :)
- They initially didn't in earlier snapshots, which may have caused some confusion here, but they do now, so it should be fine to call them piglets here too as that is their official in-game name. WorthySoul (talk) 22:35, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
- Okay, what about lambs and calves? ‑‑MinecraftExp123(talk|contribs) 22:54, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
- @WorthySoul Actually in snapshot 7, they subtitles do not refer to them as piglets. Unless it is in Bedrock Edition, could you revert those edits? I even unzipped the 26.1-snapshot-7.jar and went to en_us.json, and the regex [Pp]iglet had no matches. ‑‑MinecraftExp123(talk|contribs) 23:39, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
- I was confused since the English (United Kingdom) language I used DID call them Piglets, but after switching to English (US), the default one, I realise that was only a UK thing.
- Dw, you’re right to leave them as ‘Baby Pigs’, hopefully Mojang will fix that inconsistency at some point though. WorthySoul (talk) 20:53, 22 March 2026 (UTC)
Effect names, like Breath of the Nautilus and Bad Omen, should be capitalized per the capitalization section of the style guide. 👁 Image

- Ok, thanks to reminded me. Jaime-Spec MC () 22:18, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
I just wanna say that you did was cool! I also like to categorize things (such as animals, space objects, etc.), and wanted to do this too. But looks like you did it first, and to be honest, yours are much more amazing and detailed! I respect you :)

- Thanks! I remember trying to do something way before in paper, but its... complicated, I remember looking at most Minecraft Family Trees which for me are either incomplete, unserious or innacurate. I prefer using real based organisms cuz its more understandable. I exclude Fantasy based creatures cuz it felt... unnecessary.
- The reason I made this is because I like biology and adding scientific names. Not to mentioned i'm very into zoos so... Yeah. Thanks! Jaime-Spec MC () 16:05, 22 March 2026 (UTC)
Whenever editing a page, please try to do everything in ONE edit and not many so you won't get in trouble for quote unquotes "edit farming". Plus, it makes it easier on those who watchlist the page to not get 50 nonifications on one page lol. Thanks!👁 Image

- Firstly, I'm not edit farming, second of all, I'm just a bit autistic and usually I tried to make the pages consistent, and usually I spot stuff that most people don't. Sorry for the so called "edit farming" though. Jaime-Spec MC () 17:07, 31 March 2026 (UTC)
- It's fine lol. I respect that. ;). Thanks for your contirbs to the wiki so far! 👁 Image

File suffixes (e.g. JEx and BEx) should not be removed from version pages because they represent a specific texture revision. By removing the file suffix it defaults to the latest revision, which is wrong, and it's especially harmful considering you've been doing this to every update article. --RedX (talk) 18:48, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
- Ok I didn't know that Jaime-Spec MC () 18:49, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
