"Internal version" for Bedrock Editions

[edit source]
Latest comment: 10 November 20245 comments2 people in discussion

Could you please answer me:

Where the "Internal version" number for a Bedrock Edition can be found, so that the number can then be put into Wiki pages ?

For example:

 Windows, Xbox: 1.21.4104.0

as you wrote it in:

 Bedrock Edition 1.21.41
 https://minecraft.wiki/w/Bedrock_Edition_1.21.41?oldid=2724385

Aaah... They should be written on the Microsoft Store page in the product description if I'm not mistaken. SymORmaK () 03:29, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
OK, thanks for your answer, however excuse my inquireness...
I wanted to ask you about that, because you made many edits in the Wiki articles, putting there the internal version numbers for many different platforms - often all at once: for Windows, Xbox, ChromeOS, etc.
Looking at the above example, you put all the version numbers :
- Windows, Xbox: 1.21.4101.0
- ChromeOS, Android, iOS, iPadOS, Fire: 1.21.41.01
- PlayStation 4: 2.100
- Nintendo Switch: v111
Have you really visited all the stores for all these platforms ?
This was on 22 Oct 2024, not so long ago, so you should remember it:
did you get all the version numbers ?
I'm asking you because it seems to be a bit hard and inconvenient to visit each store every time a new Release/Beta/Preview version is published, and I supposed that this is made in a more regular way: maybe the publisher (ie. Mojang) announces the versions for all the platforms somewhere, all at once in once place (which could also be accessed and verified later at any time, because the information in stores is lost after next update).

Well, actually I'm only following logic and adding +1 to the value of the internal PlayStation and Nintendo Switch version, and the Windows and Android versions I just have. Maybe it's not quite the right thing to do, but I think these values are correct. SymORmaK () 14:48, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
I have to admit I'm just disappointed with the way it's being done...
The version numbers published there are simply not credible, not reliable,
unless other Wiki editors (who use specific platforms) will notice and verify them, and maybe make corrections.
This was just the case in the above example for Bedrock Edition 1.21.41:
the version you "predicted" for PlayStation 4: 2.99 => 2.100
has been happily corrected later on to 3.00 by someone...
As I suggested earlier, there should be a regular and reliable way to get such a platform-specific information,
which could be accessed and verified later on at any time. TwoBlocksMC (talk) 19:06, 10 November 2024 (UTC)

I've seen you put a page on this wiki that is non-English, However, keep in mind that this is a English-only wiki. If you want to put that page, do it on another wiki. WarumHoekom (talk) 16:37, 7 December 2024 (UTC)

Hi, sorry to bother you, but I noticed you split the ocean page for DIG. You might not have known, I was actually working on the ocean pages myself. There might have been a little confusion. I don't mean to sound demanding, but could you explain? Did you split all the drafts yourself, or did you use some of the drafts that I made? -~- Nerdyguy2000   Talk   Edits  14:15, 14 January 2025 (UTC)

Hello. I've been splitting pages on my own. To be honest, I knew someone was doing it, but I didn't know who. I'm sorry if this offended you in any way 😥 SymORmaK () 14:50, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
Ah. I see. I probably should have said that I was splitting it on the project page. Even still, I'm not about to blame you for something that's not your fault. -~- Nerdyguy2000   Talk   Edits  14:52, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
Thought I'd let you know, DIG has been reopened and there's more pages to split :) -~- Nerdyguy2000   Talk   Edits  23:48, 4 February 2025 (UTC)

Bedrock version redirects

[edit source]
Latest comment: 24 May 20252 comments2 people in discussion

When you are creating Bedrock Edition preview pages, please ensure that you create the required redirects. This type of redirect: "1.21.90.26", seems to be missing very frequently. It is essential that they exist, it is main and most common name for the versions and searching for the pages is difficult unless it exists. Thank you though, for working on preview pages. - Harristic / Talk 👁 Image

Okay, I'll take that into account when creating future articles. Thanks for the feedback 👍🏿 SymORmaK () 01:47, 24 May 2025 (UTC)

Congratulations!

Hey, nice job on 40,000 edits! You now have roughly 4 times the edits I do, hm... :) -~- Nerdyguy2000   Talk   Edits  16:28, 2 July 2025 (UTC)

I saw that you removed the percentages on the Badlands page. While I do realize that these data mean the same as the weights, they are still helpful to have up, especially for a biome that has a lot of music tracks. I think that the percentages should be included just for better ease of understanding. AtiumMisting (talk) 14:52, 15 August 2025 (UTC)

I think this issue should be discussed with other contributors as well. Actually, your idea is very good, maybe even better than the weight column, but let the community decide what to do with it. SymORmaK () 15:08, 15 August 2025 (UTC)
Okay. Should I just put it up on the discord or something? Or will someone else do that? Anyway, thanks for your understanding. AtiumMisting (talk) 21:44, 15 August 2025 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) Best use the article's talk page. In this case that's Talk:Badlands. -~- Nerdyguy2000   Talk   Edits  23:54, 15 August 2025 (UTC)

What platform did this come from?

Hello! I noticed that here you added the 1.21.81 build number. It has recently been discovered that each platform has a different build number, so I would like to know which platfor you got that number from. Thanks! 👁 Image
