I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase of the Sony 85-inch 4K Ultra HD TV X95K Series! This television has exceeded all my expectations and has truly transformed my viewing experience.

Firstly, the picture quality is simply breathtaking. The 4K Ultra HD display coupled with the BRAVIA XR Mini LED technology delivers stunningly sharp and vivid images. Whether I'm watching movies, gaming, or streaming my favorite shows, the colors are incredibly vibrant, and the contrast is outstanding. The Dolby Vision takes it to another level, providing exceptional HDR performance that truly brings content to life with incredible detail and depth.

The size of the 85-inch screen is nothing short of impressive. It completely immerses me in whatever I'm watching, making me feel like I'm part of the action. Despite the large size, the design is sleek and modern, adding an elegant touch to my living room.

The Smart Google TV feature is a game-changer. It's so user-friendly and responsive, allowing me to effortlessly navigate through apps, streaming services, and channels. The Google Assistant integration is incredibly handy; I can control the TV with voice commands, making it convenient when my hands are full.

Moreover, the sound quality is fantastic. The audio is clear and well-balanced, providing an immersive audiovisual experience without the need for additional speakers.

Sony televisions have always been super reliable. But it's rare to have amazing picture quality, chest-pounding sound WITHOUT a sound bar, and longevity. Sony NAILED it with the X95K. Colors and tones are the most lifelike we've ever seen thanks to Sony's Bravia XR processor. LG skews blue, Samsung is a little too red, but Sony's are perfect, in our eyes anyway. PS5 games look stunning. What's surprising about this TV is the sound. Not really advertised, the front-firing tweeters combined with a built-in subwoofer provide very full sound when calibrated using Sony's built-in room analyzer software. We were going to buy a soundbar, but we both felt we don't need it! We're moving to another state today, and this Sony is the only TV that's coming with us. HIGHLY recommend Sony TVs, especially the X series.

The TV is excellent in every aspect. The "BUT" comes from the confusion when it was delivered.

It did come on time.

-We were kept informed on every step of the delivery process.

-I had reviewed the details several times prior to its delivery, the details stated:

-the TV would be delivered,

-placed in the room of our choice,

-unboxed,

-boxes removed

_and TV set-up

We bought the 85 inch Sony Bravia. It weighs 120 pounds, so we were excited to receive this service— our reason for buying from Amazon.

The delivery person came with his teenage son. They quickly unloaded the TV and put it in the den as we asked; however, when I questioned him about unboxing and setting-up, he said they weren't told to do this. They went ahead and did what I explained the details said they would do. They were polite and nice but It bothered my husband and me that they didn't think they were supposed to.

We are elderly, have back issues, and live in a rural community. Our friends are older as well, so basically we had no way of getting the TV out of the box, onto its stand, and on the table we'd bought for it. If the delivery persons hadn't been so helpful we would have had to wait until Christmas when our adult kids visited to set it up and watch it.

BOTTOM LINE, before ordering, call Amazon and ask what to expect from the delivery person as far as set-up. (By set--up I mean placed on its stand and put in its desired location.) We did tip the delivery person for setting it up, but confusion could have been avoided had I called Amazon before ordering or if the details were clearer on Amazon as to what to expect. But GREAT TV.

Let me preface this review by stating that I’m not a videophile by any stretch of the imagination, and that this tv replaces an old 4k 60hz Vizio I had for 13 years.

The picture quality is great to me, I’ve read many blathering reviews about blooming when I haven’t noticed it at all on my use case. There are plenty of customization options for picture to play with as well. I get it, OLED is the standard, but I’d rather have a tv that doesn’t have the risk of burn-in than to have a circle jerk about my tv having perfect blacks and no blooming. The blacks are great on this tv, and I also enjoy a bright picture, and mini led is great for that.

The tv nicely smart and works well with my google home setup, as its operation system is google. It sounds way better than my old tv out of the box, but I use a google home max via a Bluetooth connection to make it thump (since I’ve had one for years). Port 3 is for e-arc, arc connection for those of you who are into that.

Port 1 and 2 are 4k 60, and 3 and 4 are 4k 120. If you have both marquee systems of the moment (ps5 and Xbox X) and a sound system with e-arc you have a tough choice to make. I have only a ps5 so that doesn’t concern me.

The TV was delivered on time and setup up with free assembly and haul away of the packing materials, which was great.

I recommend the tv wholeheartedly to anyone replacing and old tv and who doesn’t want to risk oled’s burn-in.

I can’t get over the fact how bright this tv is. It is like having another light source in my living room. The picture quality is great, everything is super crisp with gritty color details. I love Sony’s processing, with some tuning (custom mode) things look natural the way it should be with no weird color filters. HDR just pops out on this one, in both movies and games. SDR content is especially better with that brightness and upscaling processing. Watching an HD movie you could be fooled into thinking it’s a 4k. I was going to get an OLED earlier, but after trying it out i would say miniLED is actually even better. You will not be missing out on details because of crushed black levels to favor contrast, and also the motion is better at low frame rate content like 24hz movies and 30hz games. Sure there is a bit of blooming but you don’t really notice it as your eyes are generally looking at the brighter object and not the halo around it. Glad i listened to my gf :)

Apart from the picture quality, the installation was super easy, just that it is a bit too heavy to lift and setup by one person. The remote is pretty neat and light and feels nice to hold it.

The google OS interface is pretty easy to use as well. Make sure to install the aerial views screensaver, it is just breathtaking!

The television set functioned properly for one year; however, after this period had elapsed, a dark line appeared along one side of the screen. Regrettably, the technical support provided was not satisfactory. None of the representatives could definitively confirm if the television set was still covered by warranty. Instead, they directed me to a specific location and provided contact information for submitting the unit for assessment. Upon contacting them, it was suggested that the screen would require replacement, an endeavor estimated to exceed the original cost of the TV. This frustrating experience has led me to advise against purchasing this product. Furthermore, I find it disappointing that they propose a solution entailing a cost exceeding $2000, suggesting disposing of the defective unit and purchasing a new one.

Got my tv 8/1. Picture is bright, clear, detailed and colors are rich and accurate. There is some minor blooming but it is rarely noticed.

Sony's processor also excels at motion handling.

I tried a low cost TCL but with this brand and other low cost competitors it boils down to a panel lottery. If your lucky, you will have no software or panel issues.

Update. Right out of the box colors are rich but not as accurate as they could be. This set needs tweaking of colors in Advanced Color Settings. The X95K without resetting white balance numbers skews too much Magenta and Blue. When properly set skin tones and other colors are remarkedly accurate. Use the Custom setting.

This tv was purchased to replace a 65 inch Samsung 4k TV that only lasted three and half years before the panel went bad. Since the panel replacement would cost as much as the TV did when it was new, I decided to go with the Sony.

First off, Amazon delivery was great. I selected a delivery date and a time frame from 6 am to 9 am and on the day of delivery, Amazon was already showing where the delivery truck was located on the map when I first got up, about 5:30 am. The delivery truck arrived around 8:15 am and the two man team were very courteous and professional, taking great care with the extra large package, placing it in my living room.

There are a couple of minor issues with the tv that cause me to remove one star. First, as others have already mentioned, there are four HDMI ports but only two if them are the high performance 4k/120 connections. One is used for the eARC, which is dedicated to the sound system and the other, I use for my Xbox series X, which by the way works well on the XR65X95K. I also have an NVIDIA Shield and an Apple 4k. (I use these to get some of the apps that are not available on Google TV). When I try to use these on one of the standard HDMI ports, I get a message that I need to reconnect them to HDMI 4, which is the high performance port where my Xbox is connected. Since I don’t want to keep swapping out cables, I connected the Shield and the Apple device to the passthrough connections on my stereo receiver. I haven’t actually used these since I set up the new tv because whenever I try, it seems to confuse the receiver which then stops working with the ARC setup, causing me to have to reset it. My receiver is nine year old and doesn’t support “eARC” or 4k but otherwise works well. I will say that on other tv’s that I have owned, I had to disconnect the ARC so that the receiver wouldn’t come on when the sound was adjusted. I tend to be an early riser and don’t always like to have the sound coming through the stereo. With this TV, if I shut off the stereo, it stays off even when I adjust the sound.

Second, the VESA screw holes on the back of the TV for wall mounting are not centered but are more aligned along the bottom. I have an Echo gear articulating wall mount installed that has supported two different Samsung TVs, both of which had VESA screw holes centered in the back of the TV. As a result, my new Sony TV is mounted on the wall over sixteen inches higher than my previous televisions. If I wanted the Sony lower, the only solution would be to unscrew the Echo gear mount from the wall and drill new holes and remount it. Not only is that a hassle but I don’t want all the holes in my wall.

Third, with todays internet speeds and all the options for streaming content, the Ethernet port is only rated for 100 Mb. Was disappointed that Sony did not include it with a 1 Gb Ethernet port. Most of the research I have done indicates that the minimum download rate needed for 4k/UHD is 25 Mb but I have run across one article that stated 115 Mb is optimal. I tried to relocate that article for reference but was not able to locate it. The available WI-FI standard on this Sony is 802.1N which can get up to about 150 Mb speeds but a wired connection is always a much better option. This is a 2022 model and it seems that Sony could have also included the latest WI-FI standard, 802.1AX. I actually have mine hard wired and have not had any issues so it is a relatively minor issues, but I would have loved to have seen Sony include the latest technology.

Having said all that, the picture is stunning. It is without a doubt the best picture on a television that I have ever seen. The sound has been spot on as well and has been perfectly synched with the picture which is something I would sometimes have issues with on my Samsung. Highly recommend this TV.

After about a month's worth of use, I honestly find this TV's picture quality mind-blowing. It's a huge upgrade from any back lit TV that's 3+ years old. if you have an OLED, this is way brighter than it. My only gripe is that in a poorly lit environment, there is some blooming if you turn up the brightness all the way, at that point, it burns your retinas. As long as you turn down the brightness when you're in a dark room, this TV is the best of the best.

This tv is worth the price; top of the line mini-led. I would have got the A95k but was worried about burn-in.

Phenominal quality and included connections for other streaming networks. A complete package.
