Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

This wireless, low profile keyboard from Cherry is a very good keyboard that I really enjoy. Although the keyboard has a low profile, I was able to maintain my typing speed with the same amount of mistakes! The low profile keys did not affect the feel of the keyboard and I was still able to find the placement of my hands/fingers easily.
These are Cherry MX keys so the noise level is on par with the other Cherry keyboards I use: somewhat clicky with a mechanical plunger feel that gives nice feedback to each press of a key.
Price on this keyboard is a bit high but not out of line for Cherry keyboards. You can get a lot of keyboards for less but they will not have the touch or feel that the Cherry keys give.
I really liked the lighting of this keyboard. It has 10 levels of lighting so I was able to adjust the lighting suitably to the ambient so the keyboard never glared into my eyes nor overwhelmed the monitor. Of special note is that the keyboard has special lighting for the special keys such as Channels 1–4, CAPS LOCK, NUM LOCK and WIN to allow me to easily find them.
I did not test battery life because I do prefer a cabled keyboard. Using a cable always seems to allow a better response regardless of which brand of keyboard I've used so I've always been hesitant to use bluetooth for my typing. That said, I found the cabled keyboard experience very good and would highly recommend this keyboard.
I love the Cherry products and have purchased 7 other keyboards and mice. All work great. This keyboard would not connect after following the directions many times.
After using the Cherry KW 550 MX LP wireless mechanical keyboard for several weeks, I can confidently say it has significantly improved my daily computing experience. It is a fantastic piece of hardware.
The overall keyboard quality is immediately apparent. It has a solid, well built construction that feels premium and durable, without being overly heavy. The minimalist design and clean lines mean the looks are sleek and professional, fitting perfectly into any home office or workspace.
The feel of the MX Low Profile 2.0 switches is exceptional. They provide a crisp, tactile bump that is satisfying to type on without requiring a lot of force. This has noticeably improved my typing speed and accuracy, as the keys are responsive and easy to actuate.
A major consideration for shared spaces is the noise level. This keyboard produces a quiet, subdued click that is far less disruptive than a standard mechanical keyboard. It offers the tactile benefit without the auditory distraction, which my colleagues and family appreciate.
In terms of functionality, it excels. The wireless connection is stable and reliable, and the ability to pair with multiple devices is a huge plus for switching between my computer and tablet. The battery life is impressive, and the inclusion of a rechargeable battery is a welcome feature.
In summary, the Cherry KW 550 MX LP masterfully combines a premium feel with practical, high performance functionality. It is an excellent investment for anyone seeking a fast, quiet, and high quality typing experience!
Keys seem quite sensitive. Maybe I have to get used to it, but it seems fairly easy to get the keys to repeat without much effort. I would say they're relatively quiet, but, even though there is no mechanical click, the keys easily hit bottom and make a noise when they make contact, so you get a slightly different click noise - or maybe clack is more appropriate. Unfortunately, it keeps it from being a quiet keyboard. Most people probably won't notice, but they plastic of the keys - and actually all of the plastic - doesn't feel that good to me. It's pretty subjective, so no star off for that - but I don't want to pay $150 and have anything feel cheap. Speaking of which, I don't think it's worth $150. They did a good job shrinking the keyboard down, but the downside is that the edge is thin. If you're constantly picking it up, there's nowhere to just grab it, so it's easy to accidentally push keys. I was disappointed to find that there are only wired or bluetooth connections available. I thought most keyboards also come with a dongle, but not this one. The bluetooth connection is working OK so far. The literature is one big sheet with every language. It's fairly lazy. It would be nice to have a comprehensive manual. Maybe it's online, but it would be nice to have an easy to read guide. Overall, it seems pretty decent, but I'm close to saying 3.5 stars. You make the call. If anything fails prematurely or more pros and cons make themselves known, this review will be updated.
I’ve really enjoyed using this keyboard—it feels premium and has a clean, understated design with a soft white backlight that looks professional without being distracting. The low-profile switches are smooth and responsive, with a quieter sound than most mechanical boards, making it great for both work and gaming. Typing feels natural, and the slim build makes it very comfortable for longer sessions.
Bluetooth and wired options give it flexibility, though I do wish it had a dedicated dongle for quicker wireless connections. The battery life is excellent, and recharging is simple with the included USB-C cable. Build quality feels sturdy, and despite the lighter profile, the keyboard has a nice weight that keeps it stable on the desk.
The biggest drawback is the price—it’s on the higher end compared to other keyboards with similar features. Still, the typing experience and durability make it worth considering if you want something reliable and quiet.
Overall, I’d give it 4.5 out of 5 stars, rounded to 5 stars for the excellent comfort and performance.
Cherry always makes good products and this one lives up to the hype. Has a good battery life, but can also be used wired. Nice key switches that feel good and aren't too loud. They are on the softer side for pressure, so have to be careful if your hands are resting on the keys and they get too heavy, could end up with a line of "f"s or "d"s scrolling across your page.
Looks great, has lighting behind the keys if working in darker areas. Typing speed would depend on the user, however I don't find the design to be a hinderance. Fully functional, almost full layout. It has taken a little while to get used to the numb pad layout from a fullsize, but that's no problem.
Would recommend.
This is a very nice keyboard. It has a good feel, and is a standard US layout with the number pad on the right. I've connected it to several devices, and the bluetooth does connect, but it seems harder to connect than it ought to be. It's primarily a BT keyboard, it seems to me, and should be ready to connect when I turn it on. That is not the case, however, since it requires using a FN key and one of three F keys (1, 2, or 3) for channel selection. That seems more complicated for the normal user than is needed. Make the default setting channel 1 that appears immediately on startup, Then, give advanced users the ability to change if they desire. It can also be connected by USB cable, but again, this is primarily going to be used wireless for most people.
Otherwise, it's a nice keyboard. I like the lighting and the feel of the keys. The height is good. It's about the same as my old Logitech, but the key strokes seem to have less wobble and are less noisy, maybe because it's also a bit heavier.
Update. I'm dropping to 3 stars, since as I was typing this review, the keyboard lost it's BT connection. I had to switch back to the Logitech to finish, since I can't get to to reconnect yet.
Update 2: I really wanted to like this keyboard, BUT Bluetooth WILL NOT stay connected.
