The CBSE Class 10 Exam Pattern 2023–24 is released on the Central Board of Secondary Education's (CBSE) official website. Exam formats differ based on the subject. Students in class 10 can access the board's official website to download the most recent exam patterns for every subject. Important courses like maths, science, English, social science, and Hindi are included in this.
As per the most recent CBSE exam pattern for class 10, in 2024, fifty percent of the questions will be competency-based. These questions will include multiple choice questions (MCQs), questions based on sources, and questions based on case studies. Thirty percent of the questions will be of the short/long answer format, with twenty percent being multiple-choice questions. This change places more emphasis on conceptual understanding than on memorization.

December 4, 2023: The CBSE recently decided to do away with the division and distinction awards that were previously given to students in Classes 10 and 12. The Central Board of Secondary Education will no longer give students divisions, distinctions, or percentage marks as of the upcoming academic year.
