Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko reported that Ukraine has received the first tranche from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) under the new four-year Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program; the amount stands at $1.5 billion and will be directed toward priority budget expenditures and supporting macro-financial stability.
"The total volume of the program is $8.1 billion. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine has attracted $14.9 billion in financial support from the IMF to the state budget," the message, published Tuesday morning on the Telegram channel, stated.
The Prime Minister noted that the state continues to implement agreed-upon reforms aimed at maintaining macroeconomic stability, strengthening state institutions, and advancing the course toward European integration.
"I am grateful to our partners for their trust and support," Yulia Svyrydenko said.
