Kyiv receives applications for UAH 400 mln to participate in 70/30 energy efficiency program
Kyiv has received applications for participation in the "70/30" energy efficiency co-financing program totaling UAH 400 million, with UAH 250 million currently allocated in the budget, said Acting First Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Petro Panteleyev.
"We’ve already held a competition and received a sufficient number of applications. The total amount and demand from those applications is almost UAH 400 million. We have UAH 250 million in the budget, but we will continue to increase funding to best meet the needs of those who applied," he noted at a press briefing on "Preparing for Winter: Backup Power Sources for Kyiv Apartment Buildings" on Thursday.
According to him, the "70/30" co-financing program supports a wide range of energy-efficient measures. This year, it includes the construction of modular boiler houses, with 90% of the cost financed by the city.
In addition, the program for reimbursing the purchase of backup power supplies continues. Over 5,000 batteries have already been reimbursed. The average reimbursement is UAH 200,000-300,000, and for solar power plants, UAH 600,000. Panteleyev reported that over 70 rooftop solar power plants have already been installed on multi-story buildings in Kyiv.
According to the official, the capital continues to operate a revolving fund for issuing preferential loans to house committees. More than UAH 30 million has already been issued for energy efficiency measures in 23 buildings.
Panteleyev noted that Kyiv already has 1,000 energy-efficient multi-story buildings.
