Minecraft Wiki:Check users

Check users have the ability to use Special:CheckUser to check the IP address used by a logged-in user for the purpose of vandalism-fighting.

Usage of the CheckUser tool is subject to the Weird Gloop global CheckUser policy.

Administrators can request access to the CheckUser tool by contacting the existing check users or Weird Gloop staff.

• View private data in the abuse log (abusefilter-privatedetails)
• View the AbuseFilter private details access log (abusefilter-privatedetails-log)
• View and create filters that use protected variables (abusefilter-access-protected-vars)
• Check users' IP addresses and other information (checkuser)
• View the checkuser log (checkuser-log)
• Automatically reveal IP addresses used by temporary accounts (checkuser-temporary-account-auto-reveal)
• View IP addresses used by temporary accounts without needing to turn on the preference (checkuser-temporary-account-no-preference)
• View the log of access to temporary account IP addresses (checkuser-temporary-account-log)
• Remove group from own account: Check users

The check user log can be viewed by check users and local administrators.

Weird Gloop staff automatically gain this right.

Only Weird Gloop staff can grant this right. Generally, it is only given to CATS members who demonstrate a need for the tool and meet the conditions outlined in the global policy.
