1. It's been 3 months since the admin noticeboard got last archived and it usually gets archived when 3 months pass
2. the noticeboard has reached too many topics (105 specifically), from bugs in trading releated templates, to an ip using the r word, to someone not being able to upload files because their account is too new.

Sure, bot requests is a good place to ask if User:lowercase sigmabot III can be ported over here. That's the main archive workhorse over on Wikipedia. I'd like to use it on my user talk page as well as this page here. ~Anachronist (talk) 01:16, 13 August 2025 (UTC)

They do no harm as they are. I'd wait until we figure out how to have an automatic bot. I suspect bot owners here mostly self-host them. We need a server. Maybe @Weird Gloop can advise? ~Anachronist (talk) 20:11, 13 August 2025 (UTC)

I'm a bit concerned about if there were active (and old) discussions on a talk page archived by a bot. personally I think a gadget would be the better solution, because then archiving is always monitored by users and wouldn't archive active topics and stuff. And I think that adding a template to a bunch of pages might be tedious.

Active discussions are never archived by the bot. You can set up any page to archive discussions in which the last timestamp is a specified age, which can be days, months, or years. Also, the bot template specifies how many old discussions to leave on the page, so that it doesn't archive everything and leave a blank page.

It really is a lot better than manual. That's why it's so widely used on Wikipedia. Even with a bot, on Wikipedia the archiving is still monitored by users, especially on active pages. If you find that a page is growing too big and some old discussion should be archived, you just reduce the age parameter in the page template and wait a day. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:27, 16 August 2025 (UTC)

If you cannot speak English properly, then you should go to the Brazilian Minecraft Wiki, because you do speak Brazilian Portuguese and you did contribute to it in the past. I know you have no malicious intents, but this is starting to become more disruptive and overkill. As for the "my brother did it" argument, I'm afraid to say there's no way of defending yourself, and prove it was actually your brother. On top of that, it's a very common excuse. On Wikipedia, "my brother did it" is grounds for blocking as a compromised account, I believe due to the CC BY-SA license requiring that any contribution be attributable to an individual person, and a compromised account violates that license.
