Vice Principal Marlene, or VP Marlene for short,^[1] is one of the heads of Chuglass High School. Following a chance encounter, she ends up falling in love with the nitwit.

Marlene has a robust body with fair skin, long wavy blonde hair, dark hazel eyes with light blue eyeshadow and pink lipstick. She wears a fuchsia blazer jacket and a pale pink shirt with a white collar and green stripes being sometimes paired with heels.

Marlene is introduced as a talkative, anxious woman, who vents about her divorce. Upon meeting Garrett, she is also shown to be somewhat perverted, immediately smitten with him and attempting to flirt using several innuendos.

She is also shown to be kind, rushing out of her car to make sure people she ran over are okay. However, she also appears somewhat judgmental, baffled at the sight of the nitwit's large head.

Over the span of a day, she managed to become fluent in the language of villagers. Upon expressing her gratitude and love for the nitwit, heart particles appear around her head. These are the same as those when pandas make love, as well as when Dennis manifests a collar, implying that she was able to create an offspring.

Twenty years ago, Marlene married school teacher Clemente Gunchie. Despite having a problematic relationship across decades, the two held out hope of things improving, until Marlene chose to divorce.

After Henry accidentally destroyed a statue in Chugless when his makeshift jetpack malfunctioned, he got in trouble and he was sent to Marlene's office. After explaining that she needs to see Henry's guardian, Garrett drives to the school to pick up Henry, pretending to be his uncle. When Marlene recognizes Garrett as the "Trash Bag", he corrects Marlene, prompting her to become ensmitten with him instantaneously.

During a dark night, Marlene unwittingly crossed paths with the nitwit, who had entered into Earth. She feels guilty and sympathetic for the nitwit, pleads for him to not sue her, and invites him to dinner as an apology.

• The idea of a person from the real world romancing a mob would later be used in a promotional short for Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue.^[3]
